The Journey into Light

What do you want? ²Light or darkness, knowledge or ignorance are yours, but not both. ³Opposites must be brought together, not kept apart. ⁴For their separation is only in your mind, and they are reconciled by union, as you are. ⁵In union, everything that is not real must disappear, for truth is union. ⁶As darkness disappears in light, so ignorance fades away when knowledge dawns. ⁷Perception is the medium by which ignorance is brought to knowledge. ⁸Yet the perception must be without deceit, for otherwise it becomes the messenger of ignorance rather than a helper in the search for truth.

The Holy Spirit asks of you but this; bring to Him every secret you have locked away from Him. ²Open every door to Him, and bid Him enter the darkness and lighten it away. ³At your request He enters gladly. ⁴He brings the light to darkness if you make the darkness open to Him. ⁵But what you hide He cannot look upon. ⁶He sees for you, and unless you look with Him He cannot see. ⁷The vision of Christ is not for Him alone, but for Him with you. The Holy Spirit is our Guide to awaken from the dream of separation. He sees the truth while recognizing our mistaken beliefs that hide the truth from our awareness. Thus He serves as a bridge. Like a seeing eye dog helps a blind person avoid obstacles, the Holy Spirit is present in our mind to help us dismiss false perceptions and lead us past them to true perception.

This is the journey that will bring us Home to the peace, happiness and eternal Love, where we belong. We take a step on this journey each time we offer our perceptions to the Holy Spirit for His loving correction. With practice, our hesitant, initial steps become more confident. We learn that we can count on the Holy Spirit to guide us to what we truly want.

The ego always deceives, but there is no deception in the Holy Spirit, for He represents the truth of our Reality in God. Today we practice letting the Holy Spirit help us advance on our journey to union in the Light of Love.
