What Do We Really Want?

All we really want is the peace of God. We cannot find it in the world because the world is the denial of our oneness with God. But we have a Guide in our mind Whose purpose is to remind us and lead us back to the awareness that we are eternally in God, in His peace and in His Love.

When we get wrapped up in the activity of the world and blindly follow the automatic responses we have learned in the world, we feel disconnected from God’s peace. To reconnect we need to pause and step back from the activity in our minds. Then relax and ask for the help of our Inner Guide to reconnect with peace and open to the vision that shows us the truth beyond the images we seem to see.

Today our practice is to walk lightly in the world, being mindful of our thoughts and remembering to let our inner Guide be our Interpreter and Leader on the way to God’s peace. This is all we really want.
