You Are as God Created You — Now

Salvation requires the acceptance of but one thought;—you are as God created you, not what you made of yourself. Whatever evil you may think you did, you are as God created you. Whatever mistakes you made, the truth about you is unchanged. Creation is eternal and unalterable. Your sinlessness is guaranteed by God. You are and will forever be exactly as you were created. Light and joy and peace abide in you because God put them there. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.93.7)

We are being asked to let go of identifying with the mistakes we think we have made and accept that we are as God created us. We are being asked to stop insisting that we are right and God is wrong. We are assured that the Light and joy and peace God gave us as He created us with His Love is ours eternally.

Because God is eternal and changeless, His creation is eternal and changeless. No matter whether we think we’ve made a mess of this dream life or even think it’s pretty good, it has nothing to do with what God created.

Beneath all the images of the dream world, we remain as Love created us, and Light and joy and peace abide in us. We can count on this, no matter what appears to be happening in our day-to-day experience. We can return to this assurance in any and every moment. And we can remember that this is true for every brother, along with us.

Today we dedicate to reminding ourselves often that we are as God Created us — now.
