Accepting Our Life in Love

Atonement brings a re-evaluation of everything you cherish, for it is the means by which the Holy Spirit can separate the false and the true, which you have accepted into your mind without distinction. ²Therefore you cannot value one without the other, and guilt has become as true for you as innocence. ³You do not believe the Son of God is guiltless because you see the past, and see him not.

See no one, then, as guilty, and you will affirm the truth of guiltlessness unto yourself. ²In every condemnation that you offer the Son of God lies the conviction of your own guilt. ³If you would have the Holy Spirit make you free of it, accept His offer of Atonement for all your brothers. ⁴For so you learn that it is true for you. ⁵Remember always that it is impossible to condemn the Son of God in part.

⁷Within you is the holy sign of perfect faith your Father has in you. ⁸He does not value you as you do. ⁹He knows Himself, and knows the truth in you. ¹⁰He knows there is no difference, for He knows not of differences. ¹¹Can you see guilt where God knows there is perfect innocence? ¹²You can deny His knowledge, but you cannot change it. ¹³Look, then, upon the light He placed within you, and learn that what you feared was there has been replaced with love. God is only Love, and Love does not condemn. God knows His Son is one with Himself and in this oneness, His Son’s innocence is eternal.

The ego uses judgment to justify guilt. Therefore it keeps our mind dwelling on the past, for without the past, there is no justification for guilt. We let go of the past when we let go of judgment. The Atonement occurs in our mind when we let go of all judgment and accept the oneness of Love that unites us with our Creator.

When we turn over all our judgments to the Holy Spirit, we are released from the thought of guilt. The Holy Spirit reinterprets our judgments as calls for healing. As we accept His help, forgiveness heals the guilt in our mind and we remember the eternal Love that is our true Self. We accept the life we live in Love.

Reclaiming Our Identity as Spirit

[“I am spirit”] identifies you with your one Self. ²It accepts no split identity, nor tries to weave opposing factors into unity. ³It simply states the truth. ⁴Practice this truth today as often as you can, for it will bring your mind from conflict to the quiet fields of peace.

²You are the spirit lovingly endowed with all your Father’s Love and peace and joy. ³You are the spirit which completes Himself, and shares His function as Creator. ⁴He is with you always, as you are with Him.

³He will offer all His strength to every little effort that you make. ⁴Give Him the minutes which He needs today, to help you understand with Him you are the spirit that abides in Him, and that calls through His Voice to every living thing; offers His sight to everyone who asks; replaces error with the simple truth.

²Spirit am I, a holy Son of God, free of all limits, safe and healed and whole, free to forgive, and free to save the world.

Everyone in this world who believes they are a body is suffering from an identity crisis. The body is vulnerable and capable of harm. It suffers because it is perceived to be weak. It tries to protect itself with myriad defense mechanisms.

Here we are given an alternative to this misidentification. We are not a body. We are spirit. Our Identity as spirit remains eternally united with our Creator. All of our Creator’s Love is ours. His peace and joy remain with us without limit. As we remind ourselves that we are spirit, we are reclaiming our true Identity.

In the dream of bodies, this seems difficult to recognize. But the Holy Spirit is in our mind offering us all of God’s strength in support of the recognition, “I am spirit.” Today we remind ourselves with this one thought to reclaim our true Identity.

Our Eternal Unity with God’s Love

⁴If you remain as God created you fear has no meaning, evil is not real, and misery and death do not exist.

²All this has not occurred, if you remain as God created you. ³You need no thought but just this one, to let redemption come to light the world and free it from the past.

In this one thought is all the past undone; the present saved to quietly extend into a timeless future. ²If you are as God created you, then there has been no separation of your mind from His, no split between your mind and other minds, and only unity within your own.

The healing power of today’s idea is limitless. ²It is the birthplace of all miracles, the great restorer of the truth to the awareness of the world. ³Practice today’s idea with gratitude. ⁴This is the truth that comes to set you free. ⁵This is the truth that God has promised you. ⁶This is the Word [Thought] in which all sorrow ends. What is sorrow but a thought of lost Love. With the ego wish for specialness, awareness of Love’s oneness is lost. The sorrow that comes with this lost Love is experienced in the dream as fear, anxiety, sadness and guilt. All this seems to occur while in reality we remain safe in God’s Love.

His Love is eternal and changeless. Our unity with Him remains unbroken, no matter what we may dream. God created us as His Son by extending His limitless Love. His Will is that His Son remain eternally one with Himself. No separation is possible in God’s Creation.

The recognition that we remain as God created us dispels the dream. It returns our awareness that we are God’s one Son, eternally united in His Love.
