We Are Joined in One Purpose

Your special relationship will be a means for undoing guilt in everyone blessed through your holy relationship. It will be a happy dream, and one which you will share with all who come within your sight. Through it, the blessing the Holy Spirit has laid upon it will be extended. Think not that He has forgotten anyone in the purpose He has given you. And think not that He has forgotten you to whom He gave the gift. He uses everyone who calls on Him as means for the salvation of everyone. And He will waken everyone through you who offered your relationship to Him. If you but recognized His gratitude! Or mine through His! For we are joined as in one purpose, being of one mind with Him. (A Course in Miracles, T-18.II.7)

In truth we are one with the Mind of the Holy Spirit. As one with the Holy Spirit, we have one goal — waking up from the dream of separation. We experience the happy dream as we let the Mind of the Holy Spirit flow through us, accomplishing His purpose. We extend the Holy Spirit’s blessings to everyone as we go through our day.

We let happiness be received and extended… We let peace be received and extended… This is our purpose for today.

Vision Through Forgiveness

Realize that your forgiveness entitles you to vision. Understand that the Holy Spirit never fails to give the gift of sight to the forgiving. Believe He will not fail you now. You have forgiven the world. He will be with you as you watch and wait. He will show you what true vision sees. It is His Will, and you have joined with Him. Wait patiently for Him. He will be there. The light has come. You have forgiven the world.

We dedicate this day to the serenity in which God would have you be. Keep it in your awareness of yourself and see it everywhere today, as we celebrate the beginning of your vision and the sight of the real world, which has come to replace the unforgiven world you thought was real. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.75.7&11)

Today we accept Holy Spirit’s mindset of serenity… We are open-minded and are willing to see past the world of separation to the real world our forgiveness shows us…

Our openness to Holy Spirit’s vision brings the Light of peace and understanding with it… We are willing to receive Holy Spirit’s inspiration all through the day…

With this practice we receive the innate happiness, peace and joy that is our true Nature… We allow the Light into our minds, which we gladly extend to everyone.

Feeling the Gentle Hand of Christ

Christ’s hand has touched your shoulder, and you feel that you are not alone.

Become the living proof of what Christ’s touch can offer everyone. God has entrusted all His gifts to you. Be witness in your happiness to how transformed the mind becomes which chooses to accept His gifts, and feel the touch of Christ. Such is your mission now. For God entrusts the giving of His gifts to all who have received them. He has shared His joy with you. And now you go to share it with the world. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.166.9:2;15:2-7)

A Workbook lesson tells us that forgiveness is the key to happiness. If we want to know and share God’s joy, we must forgive the world for everything we think it is. The ego always proclaims that nothing in the world is forgivable. Sometimes the ego offers a pseudo forgiveness which still maintains that what needs to be forgiven really happened. This is exemplified by the statement, “forgiven but not forgotten.” As long as we are holding on to a memory of something we believed really happened, it is not forgiven.

When we let the Holy Spirit show us that we really are God’s beloved Son who could never be harmed because we are held eternally safe in God’s Love, we see that no harm happened and we can truly forgive. The ego will never show us this. But the Holy Spirit will bring us to this recognition when we are willing to let go of our perception and let our vision be corrected by the truth. Christ’s vision is the vision of forgiveness. It sees only innocence because it knows that only Love is real. Any other perception is a lie we need to let go.

Today we dedicate to the practice of bringing all our perceptions to the voice of God within with willingness to receive His gentle correction. With this practice, we will feel the gentle hand of Christ. We will experience more deeply the joy that is God’s gift to His beloved Son.

Returning to Limitless Love

Let [the Holy Spirit] be Judge as well of everything that seems to happen to you in this world. His lessons will enable you to bridge the gap between illusions and the truth.

Let Him evaluate each thought that comes to mind, remove the elements of dreams, and give them back again as clean ideas that do not contradict the Will of God. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.151.9:6-7;13:4)

The world is a school. We are always learning. What we learn in this school depends on which teacher we choose. When we choose the ego as our teacher, we learn to identify with a false image of our self that defines us as separate. The ego is vigilant with this lesson, for its seeming existence depends on us learning it and not questioning it.

We always have the option to choose the Holy Spirit as our Teacher. Its curriculum is the opposite of the ego’s curriculum. It has only one goal — to bring us back to the acceptance that we remain Love, at one in Love, as Love created us. This Teacher’s lessons are adapted in form so that we are able to receive the lesson and accept it. This Teacher in ingenious, for It knows how to start from the lessons we have learned from the ego and reinterpret them to clear away the false ideas, like cleaning a dirty window so that we can see the Love that is everywhere to be seen.

Today our prayer is to open our hearts and minds to the Holy Spirit’s loving lessons that would free us from the mistaken lessons of limitation and return us to the awareness of being limitless Love.

How to Have a Happy Day

There are no laws but God’s. …God’s laws forever give and never take.

Hear Him Who tells you this, and realize how foolish are the “laws” you thought upheld the world you thought you saw. Then listen further. He will tell you more. About the Love your Father has for you. About the endless joy He offers you.

Let us today open God’s channels to Him, and let His Will extend through us to Him. Thus is creation endlessly increased. His Voice will speak of this to us, as well as of the joys of Heaven which His laws keep limitless forever. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.76.9:1,6;10:1-5;11:1-3)

When we believe we are a body, we believe our “life” depends on obeying the laws of the body, the laws of the world of separation. The laws of God apply to us but do not apply to the body because we are not a body. When our peace is disturbed, when we feel upset or threatened, it is because we are identifying with the false image of a body as what we are.

Affirming that we are under no laws but God’s is reminding ourselves that we are not a body. We are still as Love created us — forever Love, forever loving. Accepting that we are under no laws but God’s is accepting that we are nothing but Love, and being Love, all we really want is to extend Love. By It’s nature, Love always extends Itself. Being fear’s opposite, Love is always the antidote to fear. Because Love has no opposite, when we accept the Love we are, fear disappears.

Today our practice is to be vigilant for perceptions of fear and remind ourselves that we are under no laws but God’s. We follow that reminder with willingness to accept the Love that God has already given us. With that acceptance, the joy of Love comes with it. With this practice, today will be a happy day indeed.

Let Go and Let God

Today we practice letting go of all we think we know. Today we practice handing every apprehension, every concern, every form of suffering over to the Holy Spirit… We open to the Light of our inner wholeness, our inner holiness… We stop and listen… We let our thoughts be carried to a greater awareness of what we are and where we are in truth… We let ourselves be reminded that we are still as God created us… We are still God’s pure Love… We are still God’s pure peace… We are still God’s pure happiness… We are one with all that God is…

We relax deeply and breathe in this truth about ourselves… We are all that God treasures… We are Love and loving… We look through the eyes of Love and see that beyond all the stories of separation, the truth is that changeless Love is all there is to see… It sinks in deeper that the Love of God is all there really is to see… Stories of separation could never be real… Nothing could ever really happen to change God’s one Son…

We are returned to the truth as we follow our practice of letting go and letting God. For this we are eternally grateful.

Choosing the Strength of Christ

You always choose between your weakness and the strength of Christ in you. And what you choose is what you think is real. Simply by never using weakness to direct your actions, you have given it no power. And the light of Christ in you is given charge of everything you do. For you have brought your weakness unto Him, and He has given you His strength instead. (A Course in Miracles, T-31.VIII.2:3-7)

The vision of Christ sees only innocence, because it is looking from the foundation of Christ’s innocence. Seeing only innocence, there is no judgment, no condemnation.

The ego uses the sword of judgment to sever our awareness of the unity we share with all that is. If we want to know the strength of Christ, we must lay down our judgments. When we do this, we lift the dark veil that hides the vision of innocence and denies the strength of Christ in us.

Today we dedicate to bringing all our judgments to the Christ within with willingness to let the Light of Christ shine them away. With this willingness we open our minds to receive Christ’s vision. As we see with Christ’s vision, the Light and strength of Christ are reflected back to us and we remember Christ’s strength and Light are ours. With this practice, this will be a blessed day indeed.
