Making Decisions with the Holy Spirit

We take every perceived problem to the Holy Spirit to receive clarity. Through the Holy Spirit we are brought to another level of awareness where we know what is in the best interest of all concerned.

As we continue our practice of not deciding anything on our own, we develop the habit of opening to seeing everything through the Holy Spirit’s eyes… With the Holy Spirit we are filled with a sense of peace and calm… Our doubts are brought to the certainty found in the Christ Mind…

We remember that, in truth, everyone is still Love’s Extension, as they were created… Their dreams and our dreams of separation mean nothing and are nowhere… Our eternal beingness in the Mind of God is all that is real… We are all safe in the Mind of God, whether we realize it or not… We take time to open to the Truth today.

Accepting the Gift of Christ’s Vision

Not one does Christ forget. Not one He fails to give you to remember, that your home may be complete and perfect as it was established. He has not forgotten you. But you will not remember Him until you look on all as He does. Who denies his brother is denying Him, and thus refusing to accept the gift of sight by which his Self is clearly recognized, his home remembered and salvation come. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.160.10)

We are learning to see everyone through the Christ Mind. We are learning to recognize the Truth in every brother. We are learning to see past images of differences and separate bodies to the one Light of Love That is the Truth of everyone.

This practice takes a willingness to step back from the way we have been thinking and an openness to the vision that comes from our true Self. Through Christ’s vision, we remember that nothing can change the one Self That Love created. Through Christ’s vision we are able to see past thoughts of separation to the one Love That is eternally there.

This practice takes vigilance and willingness to be taken to the Truth all through the day. This is what today is for. We remember that this practice brings us freedom from the pain and suffering caused by joining with the ego thought system. Today we are willing to free ourselves and every brother along with us.

We Return to God

Father, we are like You. No cruelty abides in us, for there is none in You. Your peace is ours. And we bless the world with what we have received from You alone. We choose again, and make our choice for all our brothers, knowing they are one with us. We bring them Your salvation as we have received it now. And we give thanks for them who render us complete. In them we see Your glory, and in them we find our peace. Holy are we because Your Holiness has set us free. And we give thanks. Amen. A Course in Miracles, (W-pI.170.13)

As we make it our highest priority to return to our true Nature, our mind opens to receive and extend peace, Love and joy… We easily see the true Nature in every brother… We soak in Love’s Presence… We are grateful for the truth that we and every brother are like our Father… We cannot change What God created… And for this we are eternally grateful.

Walking in the Way of Love

Holy Spirit, help me walk in the way of Love today… I bring my fears to you to be washed clean of mistaken thoughts and beliefs… With Your help I will see past the false images conjured to make it appear that guilt and defense are justified… With Your help I will answer calls for Love — a brother’s or my own — with Love…

Help me to see with Your vision that only innocence is there to be seen… Help me to welcome the truth of my brother into my heart… He is one with the Self we share… As I walk with You in Love… every encounter becomes an encounter with my Self… It will be a holy day indeed.

Being Lighthearted

We are lighthearted when we are in a peaceful state of mind. We are lighthearted when we are aligned with the thoughts of the Holy Spirit — when we see as He sees. The Holy Spirit sees no conflict and thus is always at peace.

Love is simple and uncomplicated, free of all conflict. In Truth there is nothing but Love. To return to the truth, it is helpful to take a deep breath and relax as we let it out… As we let ourselves settle into the center of peace within, the appearance of conflict fades… Our minds are opened to the comfort and inspiration of the Holy Spirit…

We are open to His vision, which shows us the reality of Love’s oneness behind the appearance… We accept the Light of Love in our minds, which dissolves the false beliefs… The heaviness of fear fades as we let the Light of Love fill our hearts.

Today we practice holding our minds open to the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, which brings lightheartedness with it.

Seeing the Holiness in Your Brother

The Holy Spirit sees perception as a means to teach you that the vision of a holy relationship is all you want to see. Then will you give your faith to holiness, desiring and believing in it because of your desire. (A Course in Miracles, T-21.III.6:6-7)

No matter what wild illusions we may conjure in the dream of separation, the Holy Spirit has a kind and loving correction. He needs only our willingness to consider the possibility that there might be something that would bring us greater happiness which we would prefer instead of the images we have made.

When we entertain that possibility, we are opening our willingness to receive the Holy Spirit’s vision. His vision will help us see that what He offers is what we really want instead of our self-made illusions. He will teach us that we do not have to live with the conflict, sense of loss, feeling of loneliness and incompletion, the vulnerability, we experience in the dream.

He offers us instead, deep peace, perfect safety, limitless Love and joy beyond description. We only need to recognize that we prefer these gifts and make the choice to accept them. With Holy Spirit’s loving help, we freely make this choice and in this choice we see our oneness with our brother and we join in the holiness of the one Self we share.

Bringing Blessing to Our Day

There are many little detailed things to do today. Its a perfect opportunity to practice stepping back and letting Holy Spirit lead the way in each moment. As we rest in His Love and peace, with our minds open to His lead, we will be guided in what to do, where to go, what to say and to whom. Because this guidance comes from the Source of Love, it will always bring blessing with it. With this practice it will be a truly blessed day.
