Accept the Thought of Love and Be Happy

This day my mind is quiet, to receive the Thoughts You offer me. And I accept what comes from You, instead of from myself. I do not know the way to You. But You are wholly certain. Father, guide Your Son along the quiet path that leads to You. Let my forgiveness be complete, and let the memory of You return to me. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.291.2)

If we want to be free of the limitation that comes with belief in separation, we have to let go of the source of limitation. We need to shift our attention from what the body, the ego’s chief mechanism of separation, seems to show us. Instead we need to accept the Thought that comes from our true Source.

Without our attention, the ego’s manifestations will wither and fall away. The ego has no energy of its own to sustain itself. But our true Source is the Source of all Life. It does not need our attention to exist, but It does need our attention for us to be aware of Its existence.

Thus today our focus is to accept the Thought of Love in each moment in place of the old ego thoughts of the past, of fear and guilt. As we let the Thought of Love be our Guide, we will see past the appearances of bodies and behavior and recognize the Presence of Love everywhere. We will experience the joy of uniting with Love everywhere, always.
