I Will Step Back and Let Him Lead the Way

This is the way salvation works. As you step back, the Light in you steps forward and encompasses the world. …In lightness and in laughter is sin gone, because its quaint absurdity is seen.

“Who walks with me?” This question should be asked a thousand times a day, till certainty has ended doubting and established peace. Today let doubting cease. God speaks for you in answering your question with these words:

I walk with God in perfect holiness. I light the world, I light my mind and all the minds which God created one with me. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.156.6:1-2,4;8:1-6. See also ACIM Lesson 156 Insights.)

When we walk with God in His perfect holiness, we see only innocence everywhere. There is nothing else to see. Guilt disappears as we accept God’s holiness, our true Self, in us. Fear disappears, for we no longer project guilt on the world. The vision of a forgiven world, where only innocence is seen, is a happy dream indeed for it welcomes God’s gift of perfect happiness.

As we let the Light of holiness shine through our minds today, we bless the world by seeing that Light everywhere. That blessing is reflected back to us and we accept God’s joy as ours.

God’s Gifts of Peace & Joy Belong to Us Today

His are the gifts that are within us now, for they are timeless. And we need not wait to have them. They belong to us today.

Therefore, we choose to have them now, and know, in choosing them in place of what we made, we but unite our will with what God wills, and recognize the same as being one.

[We] lay aside the conflicts of the world that offer other gifts and other goals made of illusions, witnessed to by them, and sought for only in a world of dreams.

All this we lay aside, and seek instead that which is truly ours, as we ask to recognize what God has given us. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.104.2:4-6;3:1,4;4:1. See also ACIM Lesson 104 Insights.)

Imagine what today and every day would be like as you accept the peace and joy God has given you eternally… Better yet, imagine what the next hour will be like as you let God’s peace and joy fill your mind… You let God’s peace and joy carry you through this sacred hour…

You let the holy thoughts that come with these sacred gifts come into your mind… You join as one with God’s peace and joy… You remember that God’s gifts of peace and joy belong to you today.

I Hear Holy Spirit’s Call

The Holy Spirit is calling me to peace. The Holy Spirit is calling me to joy. I answer by stilling my mind and listening.

I am brought to the eternal now. I receive Universal Inspiration in a form that is best for me now. I feel the Holy Spirit lighting up my mind and healing all my thoughts of separation.

My awareness of our oneness is growing. I feel the Holy Spirit’s joy overflowing as I continue to follow Holy Spirit’s lead. I am led to accepting and sharing oneness in God’s Love. (Poster from Pathways of Light course 912: Accepting Holy Spirit’s Help)

Christ’s Vision Is a Gift We Give Ourselves

Think who your brother is, before you would condemn him. And offer thanks to God that he is holy, and has been given the gift of holiness for you. Join him in gladness, and remove all trace of guilt from his disturbed and tortured mind. Help him to lift the heavy burden of sin you laid upon him and he accepted as his own, and toss it lightly and with happy laughter away from him. The Course tells us to not mistake the body for the Son of God. To see our brother truly, we must disregard what the body’s eyes show us and pay attention to what our inner spiritual vision shows us. Christ’s vision shows us our brother as pure Love, wholly innocent and united with our one Self. Our inner vision shows us the magnificence of our brother that is beyond words. As we accept this vision of our brother, it automatically translates to seeing ourselves in the same Light.

Think what a joyous day it would be if we let Christ’s vision dominate our awareness today. Seeming conflicts would fade. We would be experiencing the gift of Love coming back to us from everywhere because we would be seeing Love everywhere. Guilt would disappear because we would see only innocence with Christ’s vision. Giving our attention first to Christ’s vision is the gift we give the world and ourselves, for giving and receiving are the same. This is our practice today.

Today We Let Peace Carry Us to Truth

Who uses but Christ’s vision finds a peace so deep and quiet, undisturbable and wholly changeless, that the world contains no counterpart. Comparisons are still before this peace. And all the world departs in silence as this peace envelops it, and gently carries it to truth, no more to be the home of fear. For love has come, and healed the world by giving it Christ’s peace. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.305.1. See also ACIM Lesson 305 Insights.)

Today we focus on accepting God’s gift of peace… We let the Light of peace fill our minds… We let ourselves feel the deep peace that returns to our awareness… Where there was conflict, now there is only quiet… We let our minds soak in this quietness… We have one intent now and that is to let God’s peace carry us to the truth…

We let ourselves feel the contentment… the joy… and sense of well being that comes with accepting God’s peace… We know deep in our hearts that all is well… We know deep in our hearts that we are still Home, safe in the Mind of God.

Being Love-Hearted Is Being Happy

To heal is to make happy. I have told you to think how many opportunities you have had to gladden yourself, and how many you have refused. This is the same as telling you that you have refused to heal yourself. The light that belongs to you is the light of joy. Radiance is not associated with sorrow. Joy calls forth an integrated willingness to share it, and promotes the mind’s natural impulse to respond as one.

To be wholehearted [love-hearted] you must be happy. If fear and love cannot coexist, and if it is impossible to be wholly fearful and remain alive, the only possible whole state is that of love. There is no difference between love and joy. Therefore, the only possible whole state is the wholly joyous. To heal or to make joyous is therefore the same as to integrate and to make one. Happiness comes with letting go of separation and returning to oneness. As we let go of our barriers to Love, we naturally return to the awareness of Love’s oneness. This is what being wholehearted means. Being wholehearted is being Love-hearted — filled with and motivated by Love. When we are filled with Love, we want only to extend Love and join with the Love in every brother. Love infuses everything we do as we let go of barriers to Love through forgiveness.

Forgiveness Helps Us Remember Our Real Home

Forgiveness is the great release from time. It is the key to learning that the past is over. Madness speaks no more. There is no other teacher and no other way. For what has been undone no longer is. And who can stand upon a distant shore, and dream himself across an ocean, to a place and time that have long since gone by? How real a hindrance can this dream be to where he really is? For this is fact and does not change, whatever dreams he has. Yet can he still imagine he is elsewhere, and in another time. In the extreme, he can delude himself that this is true, and pass from mere imagining into belief and into madness, quite convinced that where he would prefer to be, he is. It is very helpful to be reminded that, in truth, we are in Heaven now. We are still as God created us, no matter what dreams of separation we may dream. We are still pure and innocent as God’s perfect Love. This is God’s Will for us, and what God wills is. Dreams of being separate and alone in a world of differences and specialness have not changed what we really are. Because they are merely dreams, they never really happened.

Through forgiveness we open to the truth that we are still one with all Love, along with every brother. We learn that stories of separation and conflict are not true.

With the help of the Holy Spirit, our dreaming takes on a different purpose. We dream of our brothers’ innocence instead of guilt. We rise above to see the Love that is true eternally. As we continue to let go and let God through forgiveness, we wake up from the dream of separation. And we rejoice that we remain in Heaven as we were created. Extending Love is our only function. With the peace and joy that come as we fulfill our function, we bring many brothers with us, remembering we do not go Home alone.
