Answering Love’s Call

Love is one and knows there is nothing outside of Itself. That is why attack is inconceivable to Love. The dream of separation that is this world is the denial of the oneness of Love and is therefore the denial of Love Itself. Everyone who believes they are in this world experiences lack of Love and feels incomplete.

In this world we are all seeking for completion, calling for the Love we believe we have lost. In the thought system of separation we search for completion by looking for it outside of ourselves in some form or situation or relationship. Sometimes we seek completion by being nice, to be accepted, hoping that someone will take the bait and join with us. Sometimes it seems as if this tactic works except that eventually we realize that we still feel incomplete.

This triggers a reaction to the other’s failure to fulfill the role we assigned so we attack them for their failure. This dynamic is the basis for war as well as depression and anger. Attack never resolves anything. It simply perpetuates the perception of separation and the guilt that comes with it. Thankfully we are given the means to step out of the cycle of seeking and not finding, attack and guilt.

This gift from God is His Voice in our minds, ever ready to guide us back to Love, when we are willing to follow. With the practice of turning over all judgment to the Holy Spirit to judge on our behalf, we make way for a new way of seeing. What we think is threat, the Holy Spirit shows us is a call for Love. He shows us how to answer that call with Love instead of a counterattack. And we will learn that only Love is real. We will learn that we are Love and nothing else.
