Easy Does It

When I think of myself as a body that lives in a world of constant change, I am tempted to think that I am not safe. I am tempted to believe in ideas that involve planning for the future to make myself safe. I am recognizing that this whole scenario is simply buying in to the ego’s thought system once again.

The way out of this is to practice frequently stepping back and opening my mind to the ease and peace that comes from my true Self, the Holy Spirit. I am reminded to relax and open to the truth that I am Spirit. I am not a body, and I still remain as the unlimited Love of my Creator. As I return to the truth, I am reminded once again that everyone is the same unlimited Love that I am.

I am reminded that safety surrounds us all and no real harm can come to anyone in truth. We all are the eternal Spirit of Love and nothing else. Accepting the truth puts my mind at ease. Gentleness and kindness replace thoughts of fear and scarcity. Today my practice is to allow the truth of Love’s oneness to return to my mind.

My only function is to forgive, or let go of believing that I could possibly be separate from Love’s Oneness. Holy Spirit, help me to recognize the barriers I hold up against Love’s Presence. With Your help I can lay down these barriers and welcome the unlimited Love that is my true Self. With Your help I will see everyone and everything as that same unlimited Love. Form can seem to hide the truth but cannot change it. With Holy Spirit’s help I will see past forms today to the truth of Love.
