High on Christ’s Vision

Robert:
Seeing my brother as a body is a “buzz killer.” When I see with Christ’s vision, I see the Love of God reflected back to me and it brings joy to my heart. Christ’s vision does not see my brother as a body, but as an extension of God’s Love.

If I see my brother as a body, I see him as different, a potential competitor for limited resources and specialness. I see him as limited, and what I see in him I teach myself that I am as well. Since the body is an image of being alone, it is a depressing reminder that I must be alone, on my own and vulnerable to the inevitability of death. Now that’s a buzz killer!

I am grateful that A Course in Miracles is teaching me that this image of my brother is not true and therefore it does not reflect the truth of What I am. It is teaching me that I can learn another way of seeing that does not rely on the limited scope of the body’s perception. Christ’s vision shows me the truth beyond the image of a body. This truth is so magnificent, so full of Light and joy and peace and Love, that it is beyond description in the world’s terms.

In every moment the Holy Spirit in my mind offers me this vision of my brother and myself. I need only be willing to give my full attention to the Holy Spirit instead of the habitual thought system of the ego. I am grateful for another day to practice giving my attention to the part of my mind that shows me the magnificent truth of my brother and myself. I am willing to let Love guide my seeing today. It’s a greater high than the Rocky Mountains could ever offer!

Mary:
This morning as I get quiet and listen, the idea comes to me that there is only one problem and only one solution. The problem is joining with the voice for specialness and the solution is stepping back from belief in specialness and opening my mind to Christ’s vision.

When I am willing to do this, my perception of the world is quieted… In the stillness, peace returns… I rest here awhile in this quietness with an open, quiet mind… Here I am brought past time to unspeakable timelessness… Here is peace…here is joy… here is all power… Here I remember that we all — the whole Sonship — rest in God’s Love, right now…

There is only one problem and one solution, and the solution lies in my mind, waiting for my receptivity to the eternal truth. Being willing to lay down belief in specialness brings us all to the lawns of Heaven. We all are in Heaven now. When we become aware of it is up to us.
