Receiving and Extending Christ’s Vision

Robert:
Today we read A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 158 in which we were reminded, “…in your brother you but see yourself. …Each brother whom you meet today provides another chance to let Christ’s vision shine on you, and offer you the peace of God.” (W-pI.158.10:3,5)

It is helpful to remember that the world I see is a projection. There is nothing outside of me. If I see danger and guilt, I am simply seeing reflected back to me my belief in my own vulnerability and guilt. But this lesson reminds me that as I choose to see with Christ’s vision, I will see reflected back to me the truth of my wholeness and holiness in Love. In that reflection I am in perfect peace and perfect happiness.

That is what I want to experience. With that goal in mind, my practice today is to hold my mind open to Christ’s vision. With the help of Christ’s vision, I will be able to see past the body with vision that does not use the body’s eyes. It could be called the vision of the Heart or the vision of Love. It is this vision I choose to pay attention to today.

Mary:
Today’s lesson (158) is about receiving Christ’s vision and extending Christ’s vision. This reminds me that my job today is to step back from my thoughts and watch them with the Holy Spirit. Thinking I know what’s what does not serve my best interests. Stepping back from what I think I know does. Practice, practice, practice. The Course often reminds me to question every value that I hold.

As I practice this with vigilance, I will be guided to let go of the barriers to Love I am still holding on to. I will be guided to see past bodies and to remember that everyone is one with the Father. I will be guided to remember that the stories of separation do not matter and that only returning to Love matters. Today is a wonderful day for practice. And I give thanks.
