We Always Have Heaven’s Help

Everyone here has entered darkness, yet no one has entered it alone. Nor need he stay more than an instant. For he has come with Heaven’s Help within him, ready to lead him out of darkness into light at any time. The time he chooses can be any time, for help is there, awaiting but his choice. And when he chooses to avail himself of what is given him, then will he see each situation that he thought before was means to justify his anger turned to an event which justifies his love. He will hear plainly that the calls to war he heard before are really calls to peace. He will perceive that where he gave attack is but another altar where he can, with equal ease and far more happiness, bestow forgiveness. And he will reinterpret all temptation as just another chance to bring him joy.

Let all your brother’s errors be to you nothing except a chance for you to see the workings of the Helper given you to see the world He made instead of yours. (A Course in Miracles, T-25.III.6:1-8;7:2. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

We can deny and hide from the Love we are, but we cannot change What we are. This world is a dream of being without Love, while all the time we are resting at Home in Love’s Presence. The Holy Spirit, Heaven’s Help, is the means given us to release the mistaken images that seem to justify fear, guilt and attack.

In every moment we have the choice to accept Heaven’s Help that will show us the call for Love behind the appearance of fear, anger and guilt. Thus every situation becomes an opportunity for Love. As we extend Love, the seeming justification for guilt disappears and we recognize Love’s innocence, which we all share.

We dedicate today to accepting Heaven’s Help and make the day a day of Love’s extension.

We Are Immersed in God’s Love

Father, the truth belongs to me. My home is set in Heaven by Your Will and mine. Can dreams content me? Can illusions bring me happiness? What but Your memory can satisfy Your Son? I will accept no less than You have given me. I am surrounded by Your Love, forever still, forever gentle and forever safe. God’s Son must be as You created him. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.272.1. We are forever at Home in the gentle stillness of God’s Love. In this Home we are content and know that we are safe.

If we feel any discontent, it is because we believe that somehow we have left our Home. We have made up a story of another place where God’s Love is absent, and we seek to find substitutes that cannot satisfy. There is no place like Home.

Today we dedicate to bringing all discontent to our Inner Teacher to help us see past the appearance and remember that we remain at Home, where our true Will and God’s Will would have us be.

The Truth God Sees in You

Holy are you, eternal, free and whole, at peace forever in the Heart of God. Where is the world, and where is sorrow now?

One instant of complete belief in this, and you will go beyond belief to Certainty. One instant out of time can bring time’s end. Judge not, for you but judge yourself, and thus delay this Final Judgment. What is your judgment of the world, teacher of God? Have you yet learned to stand aside and hear the Voice of Judgment in yourself? Or do you still attempt to take His role from Him? Learn to be quiet, for His Voice is heard in stillness. And His Judgment comes to all who stand aside in quiet listening, and wait for Him. (A Course in Miracles, M-15.1:11-12;2:6-13)

Today we practice opening to our holiness and the holiness of every brother. As we remember the truth that we lie in the Heart of God, peace and joy come with it. We remember that we are safe and have never left our oneness in God. We celebrate the Truth today that we are at peace forever in the Heart of God.

Let Me Remember Where I Really Abide

I abide in Love as Love… As Love, let me remember that extending Love is my only function… I am willing to accept this truth about myself and everyone… I am willing to be receptive to our one true Identity as Love… I am willing to accept the truth that this one Identity is eternal and never changes…

This remembering brings with it peace, happiness and a sense of deep fulfillment and contentment… We all rest in God and have never left. And for this we give thanks.

The Prince of Peace Is Born in You

In this season (Christmas) which celebrates the birth of holiness into this world, join with me who decided for holiness for you. It is our task together to restore the awareness of magnitude to the host whom God appointed for Himself. It is beyond all your littleness to give the gift of God, but not beyond you. For God would give Himself through you. He reaches from you to everyone and beyond everyone to His Son’s creations, but without leaving you. Far beyond your little world but still in you, He extends forever.

My birth in you is your awakening to grandeur. Welcome me not into a manger, but into the altar to holiness, where holiness abides in perfect peace. My Kingdom is not of this world because it is in you. And you are of your Father. (A Course in Miracles, T-15.III.7:1-6;9:5-8. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

Today we honor the birth of the Prince of Peace in us… As we accept His Kingdom instead of the little one we made, we open to the magnitude given us by God… As we receive His gifts of Love and peace and joy, we give them freely to everyone… We know our purpose is to give His gifts freely and equally to all… We remember His gifts are ours as we give them away… What better way to celebrate Christmas?

God’s Will for Us Is Perfect Happiness

God’s Will for you is perfect happiness because there is no sin, and suffering is causeless. Joy is just, and pain is but the sign you have misunderstood yourself. Fear not the Will of God. But turn to it in confidence that it will set you free from all the consequences sin has wrought in feverish imagination. Say:

God’s Will for me is perfect happiness.
There is no sin; it has no consequence. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.101.6:1-7. See also ACIM Lesson 101 Insights.)

Any discomfort or uneasiness to any degree is a sure sign that we have misunderstood What we are. Misunderstanding simply needs correction by One Who does understand What we truly are. The ego does not. Thus we must turn to the Voice for God within to receive His kind and gentle correction.

He will teach us that it is impossible to harm God’s Son, Who remains eternally held within the strength of God’s Love. This is the lesson the Holy Spirit would have us learn. But we cannot learn it if we insist on following the ego’s lessons, which are wholly in opposition to the Truth.

The daily, moment by moment practice of being mindful of our level of peace and bringing all disturbing thoughts and perceptions to the Holy Spirit is the way out of the pain and suffering the ego offers.

We are grateful that we have been given the means to receive the understanding we need to remember the truth that God’s gift to us is perfect happiness.

We Follow God’s Example of Gift Giving

When a mind has only light, it knows only light. Its own radiance shines all around it, and extends out into the darkness of other minds, transforming them into majesty. The Majesty of God is there, for you to recognize and appreciate and know. Recognizing the Majesty of God as your brother is to accept your own inheritance. God gives only equally. If you recognize His gift in anyone, you have acknowledged what He has given you. (A Course in Miracles, T-7.XI.5:1-6. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

God gives all of Himself, Which is Love, to all. Today we practice acknowledging God’s gift of Love in every brother. It is there for us to see, when we are willing and open to seeing it. When see and acknowledge God’s gift in every brother, we are accepting God’s gift for ourselves because God gives only equally. This remembering brings us into God’s state of grace.

When we see our brother as Love, we feel Love’s blessing. We feel safe because there is no conflict in Love. We feel peaceful and joyous because peace and joy are attributes of Love. This is our natural state because that is God’s gift to all of Creation. We let ourselves experience this state of grace as we forgive or let go of the false images that show us a world of separate bodies, separate minds and separate forms. As we forgive, we welcome and accept God’s gift of Love.
