“You are not used to miracle-minded thinking, but you can be trained to think that way.” (T-2.VII; 1:9)
“Miracle working entails a full realization of the power of thought in order to avoid miscreation.” (T-2.VII.2:2)
I have used A Course in Miracles as my mind training program. Recently, I asked Holy Spirit to help me cultivate miracle minded thinking rather than magical thinking. Magical thinking for me means that I place my trust in the world and believe that the world and its ways will bring me happiness. It means that I look outward to others for my safety, well-being and happiness rather than turning to God.

Tomas, my soul buddy, left the body in December 2010. He left through what appeared as cancer of the body.
Tomas awakened within the ego dream (although he had not awakened from it) prior to leaving the body. In the Course, Jesus calls us to the next level of awakening which is from the ego dream of death entirely (refer to the excerpt on my blog titled, Why Jesus’ Teaching is the Quickest of all Spiritual Pathways. Here is the link: http://undoing-the-ego.org/noukblog/?p=387)

Clouds can look dark
and threatening,
so it is with worry
thoughts and feelings,
they too can look
dark and threatening.
How do I chase the clouds away?

A theme that has been emphasized lately in our morning study and check in with Holy Spirit is to remember that we walk with God.
“…ideas leave not their source. If this be true, how can you be apart from God? How could you walk the world alone and separate from your Source?”
“You cannot walk the world apart from God, because you could not be without Him. He is what your life is. Where you are He is. There is one life. That life you share with Him. Nothing can be apart from Him and live.” (W-pI.156.1:3-5,2:4-9)

“A major contribution of miracles is their strength in releasing you from your false sense of isolation, deprivation and lack.” (T-1.I.42)
Why do I feel alone? Why do I feel deprived and as if I lack something? I used to believe it was because I wasn’t deserving of friends or lovers. They didn’t want me. Do you see how I perceived my loneliness to be someone else’s fault? If they would just like me I would be happy. When I felt deprived of money it was because someone wasn’t paying me enough, or hiring me, or because my parents didn’t raise me right. Believing my unhappiness was caused by someone or something else over which I had no control set up an endless cycle from which there was no escape.

I finally made my “dream” excursion to Kenya along the equator in the highlands of east Africa. I taught about Kenya many years ago as a young Global Studies teacher of high school freshman. For more than three decades I had a desire to personally witness the natural wildlife found in the unique ecosystem of the Serengeti plains.

I must have decided wrongly because I was no longer at peace with the decision I made four years ago to have my mother return to live in Trinidad and come back to Montreal for visits twice a year. She had not visited for the last year and a half however, due to a relapse of her illness. As she was now able to travel again, I began to make arrangements for her next visit and found myself feeling “guilty” about not having her live with me and seriously questioning whether I had made the right decision.

As we grow up in the world of chaos, we encounter incidences that form who we become as adults. So enmeshed in pain, we wrestle with feelings of emptiness, depression, anxiety, and loneliness. We spiral downward into the depths of grief for the loss of the Self until we have gotten so buried in the darkness of despair that we feel there is no other place we can go.

“There are no laws except the laws of God. This needs repeating, over and over, until you realize it applies to everything that you have made in opposition to God’s Will.” (W-pI.76.6:1-2)

On July 17th, 2013, darling Sally left the dream returning Home to our holy Father. I met Sally at Pathways of Light in 2005. We joined at weekend retreats and Wednesday night group study sessions.

About three years ago, I invested $100.00 in a security that was so obscure I promptly forgot about it. Earlier this month, a friend who invested a considerable amount in the same security, called and gave me a website that tracked the investment. The inside scoop, (rumors) are calling for it to “soon” hit the big boards. If that happens, I may see hundreds of thousands of dollars from my small stake. I can live with that!

I have been on a spiritual path for as long as I can remember. At five years old, I felt the presence of Holy Spirit and I knew that there was something more than these bodies. I would pray to God every morning and night and I would even leave M & M’s as an offering by a statue I had of Jesus. M & M’s were my favorite candy at the time!
As I became a teenager, the “world” became more important — having a boyfriend, career, status etc… It’s as if I had lost that innocent little girl that was so connected to Spirit, God, and Jesus.

Saturday morning 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Central Time, Pathways of Light sponsors an ACIM study group via a live conference call. Rev. Christine Anderson and Rev. Linda Wisnewski are co-facilitating our present study of the pamphlet, Psychotherapy: Purpose, Process and Practice, an Extension of the Principles of A Course In Miracles.
Through this study, we are learning that only the mind is in need of healing and the purpose of psychotherapy is to remove the blocks to truth.

July 4th in this country is a day when we celebrate freedom — American freedom from the tyranny of other countries, dictators, and terrorists.
This country was founded on the idea of a new world order. Out of the European enlightenment came such authors as Montesquieu, Rousseau, and Voltaire, who wrote about such blasphemous ideas (as the European monarchs saw it) as democracy and freedom, where men had the right to govern themselves.
