Moving in the Pause

Changing Teachers

Recently, my computer had a virus that was making my experience with it very aggravating. I took it to a store that boasted it would rid my computer of every virus, increase its speed, and guarantee to protect it from further attack for two full years. The cost was $300. My computer was less than two years old and I thought it would be worth the investment to have that professional assistance available.

The One About Death

Playing Our Part

In an old Star Trek the Next Generation episode, there is a scene where the character, Deanna Troy (who plays the wise counselor on the spaceship), along with two other characters, are forcefully thrown onto their backs as the result of an explosion. In a documentary about the show, Marina Sirtis, who plays Deanna, tells how she insisted on playing her own character in the scene, rather than using a stunt person. She relates how she broke her tailbone as a result of the fall and how painful it was.

Condemnation Injures Me; Forgiveness Sets Me Free

I asked Holy Spirit to lead me to a Workbook lesson that is needed for my highest healing and greatest good. Consistently, I was guided to Lesson 198 in the Workbook: “Only my condemnation injures me.” The first sentence in that Lesson is: “Injury is impossible.” Wow! If that is true, why did I fall and break my hip?

What the Course Means to Me

There are many sides to it but the one which has been most important to me was the discipline of practicing and applying the lessons. Reading books is a start, but only a start. Unless practice and application are added little progress or change can be expected.
