Giving My Willingness

The only reason I am not joyful is because I hold the belief that I am guilty. This is not in daily awareness, but hidden carefully in the dark where once I agreed not to approach, look at or question it. I accepted the ego’s story as true, and have lived in fear and doubt with imagined sacrifices, penance and hatred as my companions. As I studied The Course the ego got on its bandwagon to tell me that I was still doing it all wrong, still a failure at following my heart or following Guidance.

It Is Inevitable. We Will Get It.

In my ACIM group today we began reading Chapter 22, the Introduction and Section 1. In this group we take turns reading a paragraph and we pause for questions or comments. Usually we glean better understanding by sharing impressions of the passages. The reading today, however, was landing in lots of different places. We didn’t have much input about the words. When people did comment it was not related to the Text.

BE STILL and Remember God

There is something that I wrote back in 2009 that I was inspired to find and not by chance! I feel it’s exactly where I find myself right now… It makes sense to me now… Back then it did not.

When Ego Rules

We all tend to get caught up in our day to day lives and sometimes when that happens, we end up losing touch with spirit. Ego loves when that happens because ego wants to jump right in there with all the judgments and negativity possible to keep us separate from one another.

Why Do You Imprison Your Brother?

It happened suddenly. I was not prepared for what the Voice would tell me that day. Of course, I know better than to allow myself to think ill of a brother, but nonetheless, there I was mumbling words of condemnation. “And there he is, doing…”

What he did doesn’t matter here. You know the story. I thought someone did something to me, so of course, I must find fault and tell myself that he is guilty of some imagined act.

That’s when it happened. Holy Spirit was as clear as any voice I could hear with my physical ears. The message was given in the usual gentle tone, but it pierced me like a razor-sharp sword.
