Peanuts and Pushing Peas

One busy morning in a rush to get chores out of the way, I spilled a box of packing peanuts on my patio. They were scattered out all over, and so went my mind, to numerous scatter thoughts of regret and of picking them up. I resigned myself to the task and soon relaxed and softened with a mind shift, opening to Holy Spirit’s message. With each single or handful I scooped, I thought, “I am Spirit. I am Love. All is well. We are one.” There was no struggle, the time flew, and I was finished with the pickup feeling soothed and uplifted.

Applying the Rules for Decision

For the past five years, a water conditioning company has placed us in a collection agency trying to collect a fee from us for a service we haven’t used in the five years and which we have asked them to take back their equipment. Each time we get a notice from the collection agency, I initially panic and imagine myself being carted off to a prison or having my husband’s wages garnished. Oh what vain imaginings the ego constructs to keep us in fear and separation.

Healing Emotional or Physical Pain and Sickness

Excerpt from ‘The End of Death’

If we truly wish to help ourselves or another to heal from emotional or physical sickness, then it’s wise to look more carefully at our intent. The ego seeks to cure through fear, so as the underlying cause of all sickness (guilt), it is never found and addressed. If we have un-relinquished fear beneath our intent to heal, then we’ll inadvertently increase fear in ourselves and/or the one we’re attempting to help.

Immigrants, Aliens and Ditties from Home

There is a form of communication that exists between us, as strangers in a strange land of illusions, and Heaven, our true Home. Although often overlooked and seldom discussed, it is frequently mentioned in A Course In Miracles, for example:

Good News! Pain Is Not Real!

The Course is very simple. The only thing that makes it seem complicated or hard to understand is my resistance to believing what it says. Sometimes that resistance is active and other times I simply overlook the words. This year when I did Lesson 190, for some reason I decided to believe what I was reading. It was like I had never read the lesson before and was seeing it for the first time.
