We bring Love into the world as we remember that our true purpose is to extend Love instead of judgment to everyone in this world.
Our Inner Teacher leads us past our individual ‘self’s’ belief in guilt and separation by helping us see the innocence of every brother we see in the dream of separation.
It is the Holy Spirit in our mind that shows us the Light of Love that is the truth of every brother. The Love in every brother is not a dream but the eternal truth of What he is. It is our one true Self that shows us this as we are ready and willing to receive the truth.
In the Course Jesus tells us, “Forget not that the healing of God’s Son is all the world is for. That is the only purpose the Holy Spirit sees in it, and thus the only one it has. Until you see the healing of the Son as all you wish to be accomplished by the world, by time and all appearances, you will not know the Father nor yourself. For you will use the world for what is not its purpose, and will not escape its laws of violence and death.” (T-24.VI.4:1-4)
As we allow our ‘life’ purpose to be about forgiving the world from all we thought it was, we welcome the Holy Spirit to lift us above the laws of this world to free us from the belief in specialness and differences. As we are willing, the Holy Spirit shows us the world of oneness that lies past the world of differences. The Holy Spirit frees us from believing in the fearful images of loss, pain and death.
Recognizing our brother’s holiness benefits us in that it helps us remember that what God created has not changed. What God gave us (Himself), He gave for all eternity. This means we are still safe in the Mind of God, just as every brother is. We have lost nothing, even though it may seem so in our dreams of separation.
Jesus tells us, “Your brother’s holiness shows you that God is one with him and you; that what he has is yours because you are not separate from him nor from his Father.” (T-24.VI.2:5)
When we let go of illusions of what we are, the Holy Spirit can help us remember the Love that created us. Divisive judgments are replaced by inclusive recognition of the Love that joins us with all of Reality. We learn to overlook appearances or differences and see our unity with every brother in God’s Love. God sees us all as one in His Love.
Our true purpose is to see everyone equally as sinless. Our true purpose is to see that God created us all the same and that, in truth, there are no differences. We are learning from the Holy Spirit to see that we all are the same sinless Son of God. As we extend to everyone equally the Love our one Self gives us, we give impartial witness to the power of God’s Love and justice. And what we give, we receive because there is but one Self.
As we learn from our Inner Teacher to see past the ‘self’ of another, we are helped to release the idea that we are an individual ‘self.’ This forgiveness process of letting go of ego concepts of individuality and differences leads us back to the recognition that, in truth, we are united as one Self in the one Mind of Love.
Jesus tells us, “…changing concepts is salvation’s task.”
(T:31.VII.1:3)
The Holy Spirit uses bridges to lead us from where we think we are to where we are in truth. The Holy Spirit gradually leads us to the recognition that all concepts of the ‘self’ are meaningless in the end.
Our Inner Teacher leads us past our individual ‘self’s’ belief in guilt and separation by helping us see the innocence of every brother we see in the dream of separation.
“You cannot give yourself your innocence, for you are too confused about yourself. But should one brother dawn upon your sight as wholly worthy of forgiveness, then your concept of yourself is wholly changed. Your ‘evil’ thoughts have been forgiven with his, because you let them all affect you not. No longer do you choose that you should be the sign of evil and of guilt in him. And as you give your trust to what is good in him, you give it to the good in you.” (T:31.VII.2:4-8)
We ascend into Heaven when we completely identify with Christ, the Son of God. No part of our mind seeks anything other than to be part of the eternal giving and receiving of God’s Love. We celebrate Christ today by welcoming the presence of Love within and giving it to all without limit. This is our part in the salvation of the world.
We join with the Holy Spirit in our mind to see the truth of Love in every brother. Love does not judge whether anyone is worthy, for it sees only the truth in everyone. Love sees only Love.
Let’s join to celebrate the presence of Christ in our mind by accepting the Holy Spirit’s help to let go of beliefs that seem to separate us from our brothers. Without those interfering beliefs, the giving and receiving of Love flows freely and we remember that Heaven is our Home.
In our daily practice of accepting the help of the Holy Spirit when we feel fearful or judgmental, we are guided to let Holy Spirit guide us back to accepting the Love that we are and return to giving the Love that is everyone’s true Nature.
We are guided to return to the truth that the Heaven of Love is our true Home and that there is nothing but Love to see. We return to giving Love instead of thinking we know anything on our own.
Below is a meditation we received from the Holy Spirit to help us rise above to see the Love when we forget and find ourselves judging something or someone:
Relax and open to the presence of God’s peace and quiet…
Let the Holy Spirit heal your perceptions by inspiring you with how to see everyone as still being one with God…
As you do this, you also remember your oneness and safety in God…
Let the Holy Spirit remind you that there is only one, changeless, perfect eternal Love…
Because we were all created by God, we are all the same Love as God… We are all changeless Love eternally…
As you practice day-by-day seeing the eternal truth about each and every brother, you are able to see that everyone is still the Love of God. Everyone is still in the holy Home of God Himself…
You practice seeing the eternal truth until that is all you want to see…
You see clearly that as you accept and extend the truth of universal Love, you become a Teacher of Love, expressing Love in the world…

A Course in Miracles perspective on the Garden of Eden and Holy Spirit, from the album — Love Songs to A Course in Miracles.
Sitting in the Garden, under a tree
Just my lady friend and me
Apple fell into my hands
I took a bite and fell asleep
Crazy dreams that made no sense
North was south and east was west
I need a bright light, to shine thru
Going to places that just aren’t there
Still in the Garden, haven’t moved a hair
Trying to see but I’m running blind
Hallucinations based in time
But I remember something
in the back of my mind
It’s patient and thoughtful and oh so kind
I need a bright light, to shine thru
Eat from the tree of good and bad
The ego and Spirit each offer a hand
The one you choose will draw your map
Stay in the dream or try to wake up
Lord knows I’m trying to figure it out
The forest from the trees,
what Love is all about
I need a bright light, to shine thru

Today I woke up thinking about anger and while acknowledging that anger is a human feeling, I also had thoughts about how anger is almost like its own being.
Holy Spirit even provided me with an emoji type image of a yellow and red flame with arms and legs, running erratically in all directions until it finds a place to ignite. The being of anger is a thief that steals or takes away present moments of joy and happiness, replacing precious memories and peace with bitter thoughts and distorted memories focusing on the negative. Anger also seems to enjoy creating fear for future events which leads to a domino effect of dread in place of happy anticipation!
What combustible elements come together to create this tornado of feelings that replace the calmness of peace? The emotional cauldron of ego asks for a recipe of the ingredients of judgment, mind reading, false assumptions, fear, frustration, confusion, insecurities and personalization.
Holy Spirit gave me a visual of a large cauldron and the more negative ingredients that were added to the pot, the higher the steam of anger arose! The present moment became a room filled with gray smoke and felt hot and humid. I asked myself: How did the cool open air of peace float away?
When I am in peace, there is a feeling of being free to float around in the present space to reach others in connection with joy, love, humanity, and Oneness, but in anger, I only feel a closed, stifled, claustrophobic space that keeps me grounded in fear and confusion that prevents me from connection and enjoyment. The next result is anger’s friend: Regret over impulsive words I did not mean or spreading darkness instead of Light by choosing ego over Oneness.
The domino effect returns in robbing me of enjoyment of the present and fumbling with my memories so that I incorrectly remember events as filled with unfairness, aloneness, isolation and bitterness. Then worries about the future creep in with dread, fear, and anger presents a negative cycle of self-sabotaging rumination through the process of repeating negative thoughts, what-ifs, and shoulds tumbling over and over in my mind.
To regain peace, I need an immediate dose of the loving and kind nurturing thoughts of Holy Spirit.
How can I turn the heat down on the cauldron, dump the negative ingredients, take a step back and create a new life recipe with the new ingredients of Love, Light, calm, Oneness, gratitude, empathy and positivity with the outcome of peace?
As I consider this new recipe for life, I am given a visual of a crystal-clear glass pot that holds all of my beloved ingredients that I can use to bring back peace. I want to trade my tarnished old iron cauldron of anger and hatred for a crystal-clear vessel of peace.
Now I ask myself: How can I put this new recipe into my real life? As I have already identified my new ingredients, I now proceed to putting anger control into practice. How can I create the Light that I want in my world? How can I see the Light in others? I start with that image I remember from Pathways of Light courses where there is a drawing of two people facing each other and through Light, they create a bridge of connection between them as they are one and mirror images of each other in Oneness.
Instead of feeling singled out, how can I see myself as connected to others?
I can remind myself that I don’t know what is going on in the lives of others. Empathy encourages me to acknowledge the shared journey of life’s ups and downs.
I remember learning that anger is a mask for fear and frustration which reminds me of a rigid iron cauldron, whereas trust and peace bring up my visual of a crystal-clear glass pot.
When anger tries to surface, I can summon peace by going to Holy Spirit to provide thoughts and visuals of Light along with taking a deep breath.
I also like to go back to my visual of each of us wearing a physical coat that we are given and doing the best we can with our assigned coat of life that makes up our physical being, but take away the physical coat and we are all One and connected.
I saw the word FEAR as an acronym for my old recipe of life:
F – False; E – Ego; A – Arrogance or Anger; R – Regret.
I see COAT as an acronym for the life I want to live:
C – Compassion; O – Oneness; A – Acceptance; and T – Thankful.
These ingredients are my new recipe to remind myself that I want to go to Holy Spirit and ask for peace and remember that we are all God’s Light!

“Listen,—perhaps you catch a hint of an ancient state not quite forgotten; dim, perhaps, and yet not altogether unfamiliar, like a song whose name is long forgotten, and the circumstances in which you heard completely unremembered. Not the whole song has stayed with you, but just a little wisp of melody, attached not to a person or a place or anything particular. But you remember, from just this little part, how lovely was the song, how wonderful the setting where you heard it, and how you loved those who were there and listened with you.”
(T-21.I.6)
On my front porch, the world breathes with me. It’s a mid-November morning in New Orleans, and the air feels like a soft embrace, cool enough to awaken but warm enough to comfort. The porch is old and weathered but alive. It sees countless lives and stories that have passed by its steps. The creak of the wooden rocker beneath me feels familiar as if it is an extension of my being.
I sit, coffee in hand, but the drink seems forgotten, yet warm. The rising sun filters through the trees, their branches swaying gently with the breeze, creating a mosaic of light and shadow that dances across the street. The rhythm of this dance seems to speak to me in a language beyond words — a silent hymn to eternity.
The city stirs, but in this moment, I feel stillness. The faint clatter of a streetcar and the murmurs of early risers blend into one harmonious note. It is not noise. It is a song rising from the depths of the world’s dream, and I realize I am not separate from it. The boundaries of self dissolve as I breathe it all in — the shadows, the light, the sounds, the silence.
A sudden clarity washes over me as if the world’s veil has lifted just enough to reveal its hidden purpose. I am not sitting on the porch; I am the porch. I am the trees and the golden sunlight slipping through their leaves. I am the rhythm of the city, the stillness beneath the motion, the timeless essence that holds it all. The world isn’t outside of me; it is in my mind, and my body is of the world and, therefore, also in my mind — a perfect communion where no separation exists.
The stories in time, the lives of the neighbors, and the struggles and triumphs of the city all flow through me like a gentle stream. They are no longer heavy with meaning or burdened with judgment or regret. They are shimmering as part of a larger tapestry that stretches beyond what my senses can see or touch.
And in this stillness, I know that Love is All. It has always been. The past, the present, and the future collapse into one eternal now, and the burdens I carry dissolve like mist in the morning sun. I feel no need to change the world, for I see its purpose now. The world is not coming at me; it is coming from me.
The breeze brushes against my face, and it feels like the gentle touch of a beloved. The creak of the rocker beneath me is music. The coffee cup no longer warms my hand, yet its simplicity feels sacred. Nothing has changed, and yet everything “seems” to. Time is an illusion.
Spirit is soft, tender, and without urgency. A thought returns to me: “This is a miracle.” The miracle is not in some grand event or fixing the world or myself. The miracle is a vision, the remembering, the knowing. It is the gentle surrender of the ego’s grasp, allowing the world to be as it is, perfect and innocent, a reflection of Love Itself. Everybody is here with me. I do not need my senses to know this. My mind is still.
The sun rises higher, the shadows shift, and the city’s song grows louder. Yet, the stillness stays. My mind remembers to laugh, not because something extraordinary has happened but because everything ordinary is revealed as extraordinary.
I sit on the porch, still and silent, and the words echo softly within me: “God Is.”
“We say ‘God is,’ and then we cease to speak, for in that knowledge words are meaningless.” (W-169.5:4)
