I’ll Keep Practicing to See This
You know, I wasn’t comfortable all the time, even at the ACIM conference in San Francisco this winter. Much of the time the ego was focused on the differences I perceived, like old or young, physically beautiful or not, vibrant or passive, large or small, interesting or boring. Those differences among us entertained the ego for me all weekend. The speakers all had the same overall topic — Blessings, Abundance, and Grandeur — but the presentations seemed very different indeed.

New Blog — The Clarity of Peace
Mary: This morning I had an image of taking all my thoughts that I recognized were ego and putting them on God’s altar. As I was mentally doing that, I heard, “Put your image of yourself on that altar also.” I did that and jumped onto the altar, along with all the ego thoughts. What happened was, everything disappeared. The self I had identified with was gone. This left only my true Self, which was abstract truth and Love.

Spiritual Healing: A Forgiveness Process
Toward the end of 2008 I ended up traveling for work for approximately six weeks. During that time I was able to spend many quiet hours studying course 901: Introduction to Miracles Practice. The experience was amazing and I felt I had reached a different level of connection with the Holy Spirit. I was overjoyed.

Forgiveness Is Our Function Here
The Bible talks about the joy of the Lord. This is the joy you feel in your heart when you remember Who you are. It is the joy of being Love, which means extending Love, for Love must extend to be Itself. Think of the joy you experience when you meet someone you dearly love. You greet them with open arms and a happy heart. This is but a tiny taste of the joy that is yours when you remember your Self. It is God’s joy, for He gave all of Himself to you in your creation.

Self Hatred
We all have Self hatred and by the Glory of Jesus there is a cure.
How do we know that we have self hatred? By our judgements. If I am judging someone as a stuck up conceited so and so, guess who holds that belief about herself? Moi!

Time or Eternity
The past few weeks have been quite an adventure for us. As we are moving into 2009, a quickening is occurring. The lesson that is here for us now involves allowing for a greater willingness to pay attention in the present moment to Inner Guidance. This lesson involves a willingness to let go of the past and let go of the future. This lesson seems quite challenging at times. But it only seems challenging because it is forcing us to let go of mental habits that in the past have seemed “normal” to us. Each day we are being very gently asked to let go of the world as we have known it in the past. We are being asked to return to our Source and come from a state of mind that sees past the world to the real world, the world of Oneness, the world of one, united Love.

A True Thanksgiving Miracle
Having spent my whole life living on Long Island, just outside New York City, spending this Thanksgiving in the American heartland of Iowa was a truly unique experience and one that I will never forget. My 26 year old son, Kevin, has been living there for the past 5 months, and it was there that my wife, Laura, and I experienced the joy of a true miracle that comes from turning all problems over to the One Who knows the Truth.

Beginning the Journey
Yesterday I got a call from a young woman asking for help. She was so deeply depressed that she could barely talk on the phone. It started me thinking. What was the best way to help her? What was the best advice I could give? When someone hits rock bottom, whether from addiction, emotional problems or tragedy, where do they start to heal? How can they pick themselves up off the floor and get back on the right track? It seems to me that the best way I can help others in trouble is to tell them about how I healed — what worked for me.

From a Rooftop in Montana
While pondering over what I could submit to the Pathways of Light Miracles News Magazine, my beautiful wife suggested I write about my recent experience re-roofing our family mountain home in Montana. It sounded simple enough — hard work and beautiful scenery. But what does this have to do with the healing of the mind? In a word, everything!
