Sin and Judgment

Acting on an inspiration that I assume came from a divine Source, I have been reviewing the Workbook lessons in Part II of A Course in Miracles. I have really been savoring them and they are opening new dimensions of understanding for me. Lesson 259 — “Let me remember that there is no sin”— brought a major revelation and spiritual breakthrough. I stayed on the lesson for a few days and had tremendous feelings of relief knowing that all of my phony petty “sins” amounted to nothing at all and how we really do imagine them as keeping us from God.

Seeking and Finding

Understanding spiritual truth within the context of the illusion requires that we embrace a paradox. In the world of form, seeking and finding are directly linked by our actions. For instance, if I feel hunger and I seek out food to satisfy this hunger, my seeking will yield a surcease to my hunger. Temporarily, at least, I feel satisfied. I am no longer hungry.

Hijacked!

I had been so excited for a couple of weeks as I anticipated a wonderful week at Pathways. I was co-facilitating 920: Being a Miracle Worker with Rev. Barbara Kraetsch.

I was so pleased to be working with Barbara and was looking forward to seeing some old friends and making some new ones. It took some doing to get my work schedule arranged so that I could take off some time for this, especially since I was taking off a couple of extra days. I didn’t really need those extra days, but I really wanted them. I love being at Pathways, and always come back renewed and ready to tackle anything.

Surrounded by Love

As I write this, I am working on Workbook Lesson 264: “I am surrounded by the love of God.” What does this mean to be surrounded? For me, as it is still early in the morning, I think of warm, snuggly covers and the feeling it inspires. It is a feeling of warmth, a feeling of security, a feeling that I am comfortable where I am in the moment. That is the same with the Love of God.

Healing Is Coming Home to God

Over the 4th of July, I attended a six day course at Pathways of Light titled, 905: Holy Relationships vs. Special Relationships. One of the issues I have been working with has been the special relationship I have created with my body. For most of my life, I have been identified with my body through sickness and pain. I am learning through the Course that, “The body is the ego’s home by its own election. It is the only identification with which the ego feels safe since the body’s vulnerability is its own best argument that you cannot be of God.” (T-4.V.4:1-2)

I rely on You, Holy Spirit. You are my strength and my Light. I totally trust in You. I see the illusion but I do not trust it. I trust only in You to be my guiding strength. You lead me into peace. I do not know the way or the meaning of the illusion and so I give it all to You.

The Call of God

I was recently ordained as a Pathways of Light minister on the island of Kauai in the state of Hawaii. I was there to complete my “in-person training” with Rev. Petra Sundheim. Soul Journeys

Prayers, miracles and God have always been a part of my life. The beauty of God’s creations and the serenity of God’s Love swelled in my spirit despite a society dismissing such serenity as easily as empty McDonald’s containers. We prayed for people’s health, their travels, their trials and tribulations though ignored the praises to our Creator for what health and happiness we experienced. God became a “Sugar Daddy”; “Give me this and that!” rather than seen for what Love is: Our Creator, the Guide of the Universe, the essence of our soul’s journeys.

Keep it Simple… Peace First

I just celebrated a birthday, and many things drifted through my mind. It became a time to reflect, a time to realize all my blessings, a time to appreciate others, and a time to smile gently (even chuckle) at myself. In the course of reviewing my life, a large portion of the reflections were of my spiritual path — you know the one that is sometimes rocky, other times like gliding on cool sand on a hot day, and sometimes it even comes to a complete halt. Road block barricades big, red and white. Other times with many forks in the road. Which way to go?

Election Day November 2, 2004

Nationally we are focused on Bush vs Kerry for President of the United States of America. Then there are the states electing their congressmen and women, and local cities electing officials from mayors to commissioners to you name it.

The “race” my husband and I have been personally working with is on a county level. Our daughter-in-law, Jude Julie Reinhardt Ward is on the ballot for Cambell county Circuit Court Judge. There are also three men running for this position.
