Stay in Your Center of Peace

Look at your brother from your center of peace. From here you can see the truth in him. You are not fooled by the appearance of a body because you are seeing with the eyes of Christ. In your center of peace, you remember the Love you are and you see Love reflected back to you everywhere.

Practice today staying in your center of peace. Nothing can disturb you here. You are secure in the strength given you by God. Walk you in peace today and see your Light reflected back to you everywhere. It will teach you that you are not alone, never were alone nor could ever be alone. Accept this lesson today.

Accepting my center of peace comes naturally when I am willing to relax and listen to the thoughts of my inner Teacher. In truth everyone in this world is still as God created them. Nothing has happened to change God’s one Son. I am reminded to see the truth of oneness instead of the illusions of separation when in quietness I listen to my inner Teacher. I have an Interpreter Who cannot fail. I stay in my center of peace when I consistently listen to the wisdom of my inner Teacher.

Accepting Peace Now

The communication link that God Himself placed within you, joining your mind with His, cannot be broken. You may believe you want it broken, and this belief does interfere with the deep peace in which the sweet and constant communication God would share with you is known. Yet His channels of reaching out cannot be wholly closed and separated from Him. Peace will be yours because His peace still flows to you from Him Whose Will is peace. You have it now. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to use [peace], and by extending it, to learn that it is in you. (A Course in MiraclesT-13.XI.8:1-6)

It is helpful for me to remember that I can accept God’s peace and extend God’s peace with willingness. Peace is already mine. Peace belongs to everyone because everyone is in God’s peace and of God’s peace.

Today my focus is on accepting the peace that is already there in my mind, waiting for me to accept it and extend it. As I am willing to focus on peace, everything that is not of peace disappears. I see that the Light and Love of the Holy Spirit are everywhere. It can be felt and seen as I am willing to keep the communication channels open. What happiness this practice brings! What an opportunity I have today. We are all truly blessed with God’s peace.

I don’t have to do anything to earn peace. I don’t have to do anything to get peace. God has already given His peace to everyone. But to experience this peace that is already mine, I need to let go of the barriers I have made that keep it unknown to me.

It’s really quite simple. Judgment blocks awareness of God and the oneness in which I remain in truth. Peace returns to my awareness when I let go of judgment. This is why forgiveness is the central theme of ACIM. It is the key to happiness and peace.

Once again, today is a day for the happy practice of turning over all judgments to the Holy Spirit to let Him judge on my behalf. This is how every moment becomes a lesson in awakening. I am willing to practice today.

Holy Spirit’s Lessons

Let us be glad that we can walk the world, and find so many chances to perceive another situation where God’s gift can once again be recognized as ours! And thus will all the vestiges of hell, the secret sins and hidden hates be gone. And all the loveliness which they concealed appear like lawns of Heaven to our sight, to lift us high above the thorny roads we travelled on before the Christ appeared. (A Course in MiraclesT-31.VIII.9:1-3)

Today it is my opportunity to join with Holy Spirit to see as Holy Spirit sees everyone in this world. To do this, I must be willing to step back from the old habit of seeing through the ego’s eyes. I want to see the truth instead of illusions. I do this through vigilance and paying attention to what thought system I am joining with in the present moment. All through the day I have another chance to see as Holy Spirit sees. This is how I reach the lawns of Heaven. This is how I truly am of service to every brother. This is how I awaken from the dream of separation and see the face of Christ.

The world was made as a place to hide from the oneness of Love and have a separate kingdom I could call my own. When I choose the Holy Spirit as my Teacher, the world becomes a classroom in which I learn to once again recognize God’s gift of Love. Under Holy Spirit’s tutelage, every situation, every relationship, becomes an opportunity to choose to see with the Light of Love’s oneness instead of the dark thought of separation.

Today I choose to be vigilant for Holy Spirit’s lessons in Love instead of repeating the worn and tired lessons of the ego. Thus every moment becomes an opportunity to accept Love’s blessing. Today will be a blessed day indeed.

Joining with Our Self

The strength in you will offer you the light, and guide your seeing so you do not dwell on idle shadows that the body’s eyes provide for self-deception. Strength and light unite in you, and where they meet, your Self stands ready to embrace you as Its Own. Such is the meeting place we try today to find and rest in, for the peace of God is where your Self, His Son, is waiting now to meet Itself again, and be as one. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.92.9)

Today is a day to join with the strength of God instead of the weakness of the ego. Now is the time to accept the truth of the one Self. Now is the time to accept the peace and contentment that fills my mind as I am willing to lay down the ego’s false perception. The time is always now to recognize Love’s oneness.

Judgment is the way I separate from my Self. If I think someone with different political views is an adversary, I am separating from my Self. It is not they who need to be corrected. It is my perception of being separate or different that needs correction.

As with every other perception of difference, I need to bring that perception to the Holy Spirit’s Light, which will shine through the appearance to show me the one Self we share in God. The appearance of difference comes solely from the belief that we are bodies. But the Light of Love shows me that I am not a body nor is anyone.

I am the Light and strength of God, the same as everyone. The Holy Spirit will help me see this if I am willing to welcome His Light. This is how I join with our one Self.

The Key to Happiness

Through the practice of A Course in Miracles, it is becoming more and more clear to me that there is only one thing that will bring me happiness — forgiveness. Unhappiness or any disturbance to my peace is always the effect of judgment. The weather cannot change my mood unless I have a judgment about it. Relationships cannot upset me unless I have judgments about them. Circumstances or events can neither make me feel safe nor vulnerable unless I have a judgment about them.

True happiness, a sense of sure protection, certainty that I am loved, all come when I am willing to accept God’s gifts without judgment. Today is another happy day to practice letting Holy Spirit judge all things on my behalf. This is how I learn to forgive. This is how I accept God’s gift of perfect happiness.

Peace and happiness return when I am willing to allow the Holy Spirit to lift the veil of separation. Beyond the veil is our one true Self. Beyond the veil is what is eternally true. I am fooling myself when I focus on a world of differences and disunity.

Today my practice is to allow the Holy Spirit to lift this deception that I may be shown the Love of everyone’s true nature. In this holy place of accepting God’s peace, I remember that nothing could ever happen to change God’s one Son. And for this I am eternally grateful.

Gratitude for God’s Love

God exempts no one from His Love. As Love’s extension, the Love that I am is shared with all, no exceptions. It is only when I am freely extending this Love that I am truly happy.

If I slip into old habits of judgment, I am attempting to limit Love. In that moment, Love becomes unknown to me because I have shut it off.

Today I will practice laying aside judgment to let the limitless flow of Love from my Source flow through me to all. This is how I will recognize the Love I am. It is the only way to accept God’s gift of perfect happiness.

Today is a day of gratitude. Today is a day to remember that nothing has happened to change God’s one Son because he remains as God created him. God’s one Son is continuous with his Father and this means that everyone I meet or think of today, in truth, is Love’s Extension right now. Today is a day of gratitude and remembering that only the Love we all are is real, now and forever. In gratitude I heal and am healed.

Relax… and Let Love Lead…
Relax… Practice stepping back today and letting Love lead… Let yourself remember that you are Love and that everyone else is joined in the Love you are… Let yourself remember that you share one Mind — the Mind of God… Relax… and let the truth of Love’s Oneness return to your mind…

You experience quiet peace when you remember that you are held safely in the Love of God. His sure protection surrounds you with the changelessness of Heaven. To help you remember this today, see everyone that you meet or think of as with you in the sure protection of God’s Love. Within His Love there is no conflict. Nothing can disturb your peace.

As you remember that your brother is held in that same safety of Love, he becomes a dear friend, one with you, sharing the Love that is given everyone equally. With this practice you will have a blessed day.
