Accepting Happiness

Mary:
In our reading in A Course in Miracles this morning, I was reminded that happiness is there in my mind, waiting for my acceptance. If I’m not feeling God’s peace and happiness, I must have a barrier that interferes with my awareness of what is already present. Today my focus is to be aware of how much happiness I am allowing myself to be aware of. Asking myself frequently, “How happy do I feel right now? Am I using an ‘outside’ circumstance as a reason for not being happy?” My opportunity for today is to recognize these false ideas and let them be removed by the Holy Spirit.

Happiness is my natural inheritance. It is part of my natural beingness, because right now I am one with all Love. And inherent in Love is peace and happiness. I can have a happy day if I am willing to accept what is true now. In truth, the dream of separation never was and only happiness is here now in the eternal present. I see today as a wonderful opportunity to accept the peace and happiness that is inherent in my true Identity now.

Robert:
Since Love does not condemn, judgment is the denial of Love. This is why forgiveness is the gateway to the return to the memory of Love. Today my practice is to turn over all my judgments to the Holy Spirit. He will help me let them go so that I can open to the peace and happiness that is my inheritance. I give thanks that Love placed in my mind the means to let go of the barriers to Love’s presence.

Seeing with the Light of Love

Mary:
This is what stood out to me in our reading of A Course in Miracles today: “Now it becomes your task to let illusion be carried to the truth. Be steadfast but in this; be not deceived by the ‘reality’ of any changing form.” (M-27.7:4-5)

Because awakening from the dream is my only true goal, my practice for today and every day is to be open to the Holy Spirit’s gift of seeing past the world of separate bodies to the truth of God’s oneness. This is how every circumstance I encounter becomes another opportunity to see the world differently. This is how I allow the Holy Spirit to awaken me from the dream of separation.

My practice today is to frequently check in with whose hand am I holding right now — right now am I believing in a world of separate bodies or am I seeing past the dream to the truth that we are all still the same Light in the Mind of God? With Holy Spirit as my Guide, this is how I let illusion be carried to the truth. Here I see that no one is outside this one Light of Love.

Robert:
All I really want is the peace of God. The wish for something else is what makes a world of separation and specialness, guilt and fear. If I consider honestly what the world I see offers, there is nothing there that can bring me the peace of God. Nothing in the world can bring me lasting happiness.

Since nothing I see in the world is real, all I need to do is let go of these false images and the peace of God will come forth. It was always there, being God’s eternal gift. Nothing more than an imaginary veil hid the peace of God from me. My past learning has been invested in making those images real.

Now I choose a different Teacher. I make that choice when I choose to let Him interpret every image I see. With my inner Teacher’s help, I will learn to see the Light of Love everywhere. The body will continue to show me images, but seen in the Light of Love, they will be recognized as having no substance, and therefore, they will not interfere with my experience of the peace of God.

Today is another day of practice in holding up every image to the Light of Love to see as Holy Spirit sees.

Give Him Your Thoughts

Mary:
This is what stood out in our reading in A Course in Miracles this morning:

Give Him your thoughts, and He will give them back as miracles which joyously proclaim the wholeness and the happiness God wills His Son, as proof of His eternal Love. And as each thought is thus transformed, it takes on healing power from the Mind Which saw the truth in it, and failed to be deceived by what was falsely added. All threads of fantasy are gone. And what remains is unified into a perfect Thought that offers Its perfection everywhere.” (W-pI.151.14)

This short paragraph gives me the means for awakening — “Give Him your thoughts.” If I am sincere in my desire to awaken from the dream of separation, I will hand over what I think is true to the Holy Spirit to be purified. In the Holy Spirit’s hands, what is not true will be removed and disappear. Only what is true will remain. As I am willing to hand over my thoughts to the Holy Spirit, the little kingdom that I thought was mine alone will disappear in God’s healing Light. As the Holy Spirit removes all threads of fantasy, God’s perfect Love is all there is to see and hear and experience.

My practice for today is to let the Holy Spirit purify all the thoughts that come into my mind and show me the difference between the real and the unreal. This is a true miracle. Receiving Holy Spirit’s miracles of truth is my opportunity for today.

Robert:
It is time to resign as my own interpreter of the world. Who would hire an interpreter who does not know what anything means? I am grateful that I have within my mind an Interpreter Who knows what everything means. It is time to give Him the job.

Today is my opportunity to withdraw my misplaced loyalty to the clueless interpreter and focus my attention on the Interpreter Who will teach me the true meaning in everything. This is how I will learn the truth of What I am and What everyone Is. I will learn that only Love is real.

A “Doing Meditation”

Mary:
In our reading in A Course in Miracles this morning, this prayer stood out:

Father, our Name is Yours. In It we are united with all living things, and You Who are their one Creator. What we made and call by many different names is but a shadow we have tried to cast across Your Own Reality. And we are glad and thankful we were wrong. All our mistakes we give to You, that we may be absolved from all effects our errors seemed to have. And we accept the truth You give, in place of every one of them. Your Name is our salvation and escape from what we made. Your Name unites us in the oneness which is our inheritance and peace. Amen. (W-pI.184.15)

My practice for today is to turn over my mistaken thoughts of individuality to the Holy Spirit and be open to receive the truth of Love’s oneness instead. This is how I let my belief in separation be replaced so that my barriers to Love are undone. Peace returns with this practice of forgiving dreams of separation. This is how I accept our one true Identity, one minute at a time. And I give thanks for the joy this practice gives me.

Robert:
When I have a lot of little details to do, it helps me to make a list. With this list, I stay more peaceful by letting Holy Spirit guide me with what to do and when. On my own, I can look at all the details and overwhelm myself. But when I step back and let Holy Spirit be my Guide, it becomes a “doing meditation.”

The doing becomes a means to practice remembering the Presence of the Holy Spirit, my true Self, the center of peace within. Instead of being a grind to get through the many details of the day, the experience becomes a blessing of remembering the quiet Love that is my true Nature. Today is a day to practice this “doing” meditation and remember that only Love is real.

Accepting God’s Ocean of Love

Mary:
Everyone in the whole Sonship is an integral part of God’s one Ocean of Love. This Ocean is one and our opportunity now is to awaken to Love’s oneness. Letting this awareness return brings us peace, joy and a deep sense of well being.

Today I am given another opportunity to step back and move into the awareness of God’s one Ocean of Love, which includes everyone. In this quiet place of oneness, there is no tension, no fear and no lack of any kind. Giving time to letting the truth return brings with it the gift of true perception. In this quiet place my mind is cleansed of ego’s false ideas and I see that all is well and everyone is safe in God’s one Ocean of Love. My practice for today is to frequently allow awareness of God’s Love to heal my mind.

Robert:
In our reading of A Course in Miracles today, I was reminded that there is a quiet center within where I am at peace. This quiet center of peace is always with me. I can use it as my anchor to help me remember that Love is always with me, the peace of God is always with me. This quiet center is my Self that remains united with my Creator. The more I am willing to go to this quiet center within, the more I can bring this quietness with me for all the doings on which I am sent. This is my practice for today.

Resolving Problems

Robert:
Yesterday I read a quote from A Course in Miracles, “Trust will resolve all problems now.” This is not telling me to trust in my own strength. The Course says that if I trust in my own strength, I will have every reason to be apprehensive and fearful, because I have no strength apart from God. It is trust in Love, my Source, that will resolve all problems. There is no conflict in Love, so it is impossible for Love to have problems.

This reminds me again that my function is to let go of the barriers to Love, which are really forms of lack of trust. I let go of barriers to Love by letting go of the past, by forgiving. This is how I will open the way to see the face of Christ in all things. It is a process of learning to disregard the images my body’s senses show me and give all my regard to the vision of Love my true Self sees. This is my practice for today.

Mary:
ACIM reminds me, “In quietness is every problem quietly resolved.” Today it is my opportunity to open to the peace and quiet of the Holy Spirit to receive a change in perception. This is what time is for. This is my practice for today.

Let Peace Lead the Way Today

Holy Spirit to Robert:
Walk with Me today… Hold My hand by giving peace priority in your mind today… Where peace is, there I am…

As we walk together, I will guide you in the way of gentleness and Love. Your doing in the world will extend the Love and peace that you are. Being a place of symbols, your expression of Love will be in symbols. It does not matter if others consciously recognize the Love that is behind the symbols. The truth in them will recognize the truth in your offering. This is how your gift of Love is magnified a thousand times, and a thousand times again.

Walk with Me today… and together we will give the gift of Love that is What we are. There is nothing else to give.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Let your doing in the world be led by peace… Let yourself remember that you are in God’s ocean of peace… Let peace fill your mind and extend to everyone in your dream of separate bodies… Let peace fill your heart and all your doing will reflect that peace… This is how to be truly helpful.
