Another Chance to Choose Again
Mary and Robert:
In our reading in A Course in Miracles this morning, this is what stood out to us:

The images you make cannot prevail against what God Himself would have you be. Be never fearful of temptation, then, but see it as it is; another chance to choose again, and let Christ’s strength prevail in every circumstance and every place you raised an image of yourself before. For what appears to hide the face of Christ is powerless before His majesty, and disappears before His holy sight. (T-31.VIII.4:1-3)

This reminds us that the images we see are coming from our own mind. We are always choosing between how the ego sees and Christ’s vision. It reminds us that even if we have believed in images of separation in the past, we always have another chance to choose again. It also tells us that we don’t have to feel guilty when we fall back into judgment, guilt and fear. We just need to remember that it is another chance to choose again.

This is another way of saying, “Whatever the problem, use it for awakening.” Whatever seems to show up in our lives, if it is not Love, it is a lesson in Love. We now have another opportunity to choose happiness instead of the pain of projecting guilt. We have another opportunity to remember that God’s Son is one. What a happy habit to develop!

Recognition of the Truth

Holy Spirit to Mary:
In all your interactions today, be willing to see the Christ. Be willing to see the truth about every brother you meet or even think of. You may not realize how powerful this is. In truth minds are connected because the Son is one. As you practice vigilantly focusing on the Christ in every brother, you help every brother and you help yourself awaken from the dream. Practice this today.

Holy Spirit to Robert:
I will always lead you toward the full recognition of the truth of What you are. That is the only meaningful use of time. Let Me take the lead in all your doing; let Me be your Interpreter of every image, every perception. As you practice doing this, every moment is a step toward awakening, a step toward freedom to be as God created you.

Do not limit how I can help you. Something as seemingly mundane as balancing a checkbook I can use on behalf of your awakening. The ego would use it as a demonstration of complexity and conflict. I can use it as a demonstration of the peace and blessing that comes with following My lead.

You are always free to choose your advisor. Remember that I offer you peace, happiness and Love. Together we join with the Truth in you. Let this be your practice today.

God’s Son Is One

Holy Spirit to Robert:
Time is one of the chief mechanisms the ego uses to make the illusion of separation seem real. Its purpose is to keep you unaware of the present.

You make a list of things to do which seem to take time. It seems that these things to do are important to the survival of the body. You fear that if you do not get these things done, at best you will be less worthy; at worst, you will be vulnerable to destruction and death. It is no wonder you feel overwhelmed. All this comes from believing that you are not your Self.

When you perceive a feeling of overwhelm, pause, step back and ask, “Who am I?” Wait to receive the Answer that will remind you of the truth. Then ask, “What is this for?” When you answer this question from the Self you share with all, your doing will serve the extension of Love. Anything that does not serve this purpose will be laid aside, for it is meaningless and has no value. Practice this today and your day will be filled with meaning, because it will be a day of extending Love. 

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Today practice melting into peace. Accept God’s peace and let peace guide you. Let yourself be shown the truth of Love behind all illusions. Let yourself be brought to the awareness that only Love is real, that God’s Son is One. Let the Light of Love shine away all illusions of separation.

Remembering Changeless Love

Mary:
In our time with A Course in Miracles this morning, this paragraph stood out to me:

From your grandeur, you can only bless, because your grandeur is your abundance. By blessing you hold it in your mind, protecting it from illusions and keeping yourself in the Mind of God. Remember always that you cannot be anywhere except in the Mind of God. When you forget this, you will despair and you will attack. (T-9.VIII.5)

This reminds me that if I truly want to awaken to the truth, I will allow in the awareness that I am Love in the Mind of Love. I will remember that Love is the truth about everyone. I will remember that no one is a body with a separate mind.

I am so grateful that I have right within my mind the means to remember that I am free of all illusions. I can remember my eternal abundance in God. Asking myself frequently, “What am I and where am I in truth?” helps return me to sanity. This is my practice for today. And I have all the help I need as I am willing to accept Holy Spirit’s mind healing.

Robert:
The ego is always in doubt because, based on an illusion, its foundation is uncertain. To compensate for this uncertainty, the ego is constantly attempting to build illusions of certainty. Of course it is impossible to establish stability in this way, but this is typical of the ego’s dictum, “seek and do not find.”

If I want to experience certainty and safety, I must allow myself to be led by a Thought that is founded on changelessness. When I accept Holy Spirit’s help, I am accepting changeless truth. This is all I really want. This is where I experience the peace of my Being, my one Self.

All the things that come up through the day are an opportunity to let myself be guided to see them through the Light of Truth. Seen in this Light, there is never a need to defend, convince or fix. There is only the peaceful recognition that everything is a lesson in Love, a lesson in joining. This is my practice today.

Accept the Spirit of Peace

Robert:
The one Self that we all share is in a constant state of joyously extending Love. This Self is conflict free and totally at peace. This is our natural condition.

If we are not experiencing this, we must be believing that we are something other than this one Self. This is nothing more than an error to be corrected — a mistaken belief. All of us have observed that our beliefs can change. Any time we are convinced that a belief we held is mistaken, we instantly let it go.

Sometimes it seems to take more convincing to get us to let go of a belief, but this is only because of a strong investment in the belief, an unwillingness to let it go. Usually this unwillingness comes from a belief that changing would mean a loss of identity. Yet if we are hanging on to a mistaken identity that is limiting and produces feelings of lack, fear and guilt, do we really want to hang on to that mistaken belief?

A Course in Miracles helps me with my willingness by helping me see that my real Identity, which is automatically revealed when I let go of belief in a false identity, offers me everything I want. It offers me the joy of loving and the peace of God. What a happy exchange it is to let go of belief in a false identity and accept my Self as It is. Today I will practice seeing the Light of Love in everyone, for that is how I accept my Self.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Today, pay attention to the Spirit of Peace in your mind, and let it extend in all your activities throughout the day. Focus on accepting the Spirit of Peace and let it lighten up every experience. This is your practice for today.

Who Walks with Me?

Robert:
As we read in A Course in Miracles today, this stood out to me: “‘Who walks with me?’ This question should be asked a thousand times a day, till certainty has ended doubting and established peace.” (W-pI.156.8:1-2)

Remembering to ask this question helps bring me back to the recognition that no matter what I may be experiencing in the dream of separation, Love is always with me. This brings me comfort. I am never without the Love of God. Whenever I feel unhappy or fearful, I have forgotten Who walks with me. It is time to ask this question again and return my attention to the truth that I remain eternally wholly within God’s Love. Since His Love is changeless, when I remember that I am in Love, doubt fades away. The certainty of my safety brings me peace.

This same question, “Who walks with me?” can also be asked of anyone I meet or think of. If someone appears to be in distress, I can ask in my mind, “Who walks with you?” It reminds me that the certainty of Love is with everyone and that the experience and appearance of distress comes only from a mistaken idea of what I am. As I remember that everyone walks with God, not only am I comforted, but this thought brings comfort to all.

Today I will ask this question frequently and remember that I walk with the certainty of Love.

Mary:
Because God walks with me, my job is to step back and let Love lead the way. Practicing this brings me happiness and joy. That is why my practice for today is to step back again and again and again, and let Who walks with me lead me through this day.

The Goal of Truth

Holy Spirit to Robert:
Remember how you felt when you fell in love — how your heart sang, you smiled a lot and the world seemed to be bright with possibilities. This experience may have been associated with one special person, but it is a foretaste of the experience of the Love of God. Remove the limitation that specialness imposes to let that Love be extended to all equally, and the joy and limitless possibilities are magnified a thousand times and a thousand times more.

In specialness, you think you are completed by that other special person. In truth, you are completed by accepting the Love you are. The only barrier to the full experience of the limitless flow of Love in you is the wish to keep it for yourself alone. That wish makes Love unknown to you. Let it go and you will know the Love you are and your joy will be complete. Your peace will be undisturbed. Let today be a day of letting the Holy Spirit help you release the barriers to Love and it will be a day of increasing joy and peace.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Today, just practice letting go and letting God… Practice coming from a place of remembering that you do not know what anything is for… Practice not deciding anything on your own… Practice opening to peace and letting what comes from peace guide you… Practice receiving a constant flow of inspiration from the Holy Spirit…

Step back, let your mind still, and listen with an open mind… Do not bring the past with you. Just follow in the present moment… Let the Holy Spirit’s goal of awakening you from the dream be accomplished through you… Let the Holy Spirit show you your true Nature as Love and everyone’s true Nature as Love… Let the goal of truth guide your way today.
