We Open Our Minds to God

We open our minds to receive God’s gifts today. We are willing to receive God’s gifts of peace and happiness. We let a sense of well being and safety fill us up to overflowing.

We practice hourly through the day renewing and refreshing our connection to God. We let our communication be strong. We are committed to listening and receiving God’s gifts all through the day.

We let our minds be inspired in all our doing, knowing that God goes with us wherever we go. We let today be a happy day filled with God’s Love and peace and joy. For this we give thanks.

Remembering Heaven

In truth, everyone in the world is our sibling, created equally by Love and as Love. If there are some whom we find difficult to see as Love, it is because we are seeing them and ourselves as false images.

The Truth in us will always see the Truth in everyone. But, when we identify with the ego false idea, we will see the false in others. Everyone we see as not Love is reflecting back to us the lack of Love we see within ourselves.

The antidote to this perceived lack of Love is forgiveness. Every seeming irritation, disturbance, pain, guilt or fear is offering us an opportunity to bring it to the Holy Spirit in our minds. He will shine His Light upon it, dispelling the shadows of false ideas and revealing the loving Light that is everywhere.

This moment-to-moment practice opens our hearts to God’s gifts of Love and peace and joy. It leads us to our remembrance of Heaven, which we never really left.

You Are So Blessed

You receive the fruits of God’s blessing when you give the fruits of God’s blessing. The fruits of God’s blessing are Love, peace and joy.

As we open our minds to receive these gifts, we are filled with the awareness that we have all Love, all peace and all joy to give. The more we give these gifts away, the more our awareness of these gifts we have increases.

Today it is our opportunity to realize how blessed we truly are. We take the time to remember how truly blessed we are with God’s blessings of Love and peace and joy. We know these gifts cannot be contained. They are to be given to everyone. We joyful see that our one true function is to extend God’s blessings to the world.

Remembering Our One Self

You are one Self, united and secure in light and joy and peace.

You are one Self, the holy Son of God, united with your brothers in that Self; united with your Father in His Will. Feel this one Self in you, and let It shine away all your illusions and your doubts. This is your Self, the Son of God Himself, sinless as Its Creator, with His strength within you and His Love forever yours. You are one Self, and it is given you to feel this Self within you, and to cast all your illusions out of the one Mind that is this Self, the holy truth in you. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.95.12:1;13:2-5)

Our one Self is Love and nothing else. We can never be without Love in truth. If we feel lack of Love in any way, it can only be because we believe we are not our one Self. We believe we have succeeded in separating ourself from the Love we are. We release ourselves from this mistaken belief through forgiveness.

Each time we bring a thought or perception that disturbed our peace to the Holy Spirit and let Him correct our mistaken belief, we more clearly see past the veil that hides our one Self from our awareness. Today our practice is to remember that anyone we meet or think of is our one Self, united with us in the Love of God. As we remember this, we welcome peace and experience more fully the joy of our one Self.

We Are the Same Love

In this world it may appear that there are differences in love. It appears as if love can come and go and change into different forms. All this is the ego’s way of interpreting what Love is.

In truth, we are all the same Love, and everyone is included equally in the united Love we are. God has shared all of Himself with everyone equally. Inherent in God’s Love is true equality, true union, true sharing of All That Is with all.

Today our practice is to recognize the reality of everyone as Love and nothing else. In that recognition, we learn that we are Love and nothing else. This is accepting the truth and extending the truth to everyone we meet or think of.

This is how we heal and are healed today. This is how we serve as Love’s messenger today. We remember the truth and see the truth in everyone. We let the veil of separation be lifted and accept the miracle that shows us Love is everywhere equally and eternally.

Accepting God’s Loving Kindness

In truth, we are totally immersed in God’s loving kindness. We are gradually learning to accept this truth about where we are and what we are. We accept this loving kindness by extending it to include everyone, and awareness of our true Identity comes with it.

Today our practice is to accept God’s loving kindness and extend it to everyone we meet or think of. The happiness that comes with this acceptance fills our heart and mind as we go through this wonderful day. And we give thanks.

Two Ways of Seeing

The world you see must be denied for sight of it is costing you a different kind of vision. You cannot see both worlds, for each of them involves a different kind of seeing, and depends on what you cherish. (A Course in Miracles, T-13-VII.2:1-2)

Because we cannot see both worlds at the same time, we must be willing to relinquish one to see the other.

The ego offers us its own instrument of “seeing” — the body’s eyes. Since the body itself is an illusion, the body’s eyes can show us only illusions. But we have another instrument of seeing which the Course calls Christ’s vision. This way of seeing is in our minds because it is not of form. Christ’s vision looks past all form to the unity of Love that is God and His Son (His extension of Love). The Course is teaching us to shift our attention from using the ego’s way of seeing to using the vision of our true Self.

While we are experiencing the dream, the body’s eyes will continue to give us images within the illusion. We are not being asked to deny that we are seeing a world of form. But we are being asked to shift our attention from this false seeing to the true seeing of our Inward Vision. As we learn to trust and accept this Inward Vision, the images the ego shows us have diminished importance and affect us less and less. As we focus more on our Inward Vision, we experience greater peace, for the images of the world are less and less real to us.

The process of forgiveness, of bringing all our perceptions to the Holy Spirit with willingness to let Him help us see past them, is how we shift away from trusting the ego’s images and toward trusting the truth that Christ’s Vision shows us. Today is another opportunity to practice letting ourselves be taught to see the truth beyond all appearances.
