Opening to Holy Spirit

Attempt to solve no problems but within the holy instant’s surety. For there the problem will be answered and resolved. (A Course in Miracles, T-27.IV.3:1-2)

With the Holy Spirit’s help, we are brought to another state of mind. The Holy Spirit has a completely different perspective. It helps us step outside the boxes of division we have made. In this world we tend to bring the past to the present.

The Holy Spirit remembers what everything is for and brings brings us into alignment with what is helpful for everyone concerned. The Holy Spirit brings us into a state of unity instead of separation and uses everything in the dream as a means to help us wake up from the dream.

Today we practice opening to Holy Spirit’s help, remembering that we do not know what anything means on our own.

Who Is My Companion?

You cannot walk the world apart from God, because you could not be without Him. He is what your life is. Where you are He is. There is one life. That life you share with Him. Nothing can be apart from Him and live.

“Who walks with me?” This question should be asked a thousand times a day, till certainty has ended doubting and established peace. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.156.2:4-9;8:1-2)

Today’s prayer:
Who is my companion? Let me remember I always walk with God. If I am not at peace, I have substituted an illusion for the Love of God. The sense of loss of love naturally brings fear. Let me remember once again, I walk with Love.

Seeing Past Appearances to Love

The way we wake up from the dream of separation is to be open to perceiving as the Holy Spirit perceives everyone. To do this we need to step back from how we have been seeing in the past. In the past we have been seeing through the eyes of separation (the ego) and now we are learning to open our minds to a different way of seeing.

As we are open, the Holy Spirit shows us the changeless Love That lies behind the images of differences. The Holy Spirit shows us the holiness in everyone, including ourselves. From this perspective we relax and feel the happiness and joy that come with remembering the eternal truth about us all. We remember we are safe, we are innocent, we are loved, we are Home.

We choose happiness today as we join with Holy Spirit in seeing Love and nothing else.

Accepting the Love We Are

We remind the world that it is free of all illusions every time we say:
God is but Love, and therefore so am I. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.V.10:7-8)

When we identify with the body as what we are, we believe we are something other than Love. Love is one and has no form. Individuality in the oneness of Love is impossible. So when we see someone as a threat or an opponent or endangered, we are forgetting that we are Love and nothing else. Remembering the truth that “God is but Love and therefore so am I” is the antidote that heals this mistaken belief.

Today we practice reminding ourselves of this frequently. If something disturbs our peace, we will remind ourselves, “God is but Love and therefore so am I.” If we feel or see guilt, or experience fear, we will remind ourselves of this again. The more we practice this the more we loosen our mistaken identification with a false idea of what we are. We clear the way to the experience of our safety and peace, our joy and the Love we are eternally. With this practice we move forward on our journey Home.

How to Have a Blessed Day

It seems to be a complex world with myriad decisions to be made throughout the day. It can seem chaotic. But we have a Guide ever present in our minds That can lead us through the appearance of chaos to the simplicity of Truth. On our own we cannot experience the simplicity of Truth because the belief that we are on our own is the denial of Truth. But as we are willing to let our inner Guide decide on our behalf, complexity gives way to simplicity, chaos yields to peace.

Today we dedicate to the practice of keeping our minds open to our inner Guide to lead us through the myriad seeming choices or decisions. As we follow Its guidance, it will be a day of peace and happiness. It will be a day in which Love is reflected in all our doing. It will be a day of blessing.

Seeing Beyond Appearances Is the Way Home

“I rest in God.” This thought will bring to you the rest and quiet, peace and stillness, and the safety and the happiness you seek. “I rest in God.” This thought has power to wake the sleeping truth in you, whose vision sees beyond appearances to that same truth in everyone and everything there is. Here is the end of suffering for all the world, and everyone who ever came and yet will come to linger for a while. Here is the thought in which the Son of God is born again, to recognize himself. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.109.2)

The ego makes up forms so that it appears that we are alone and separate from our Creator. To remember that we remain at Home in the Heart of Love, we need to train our minds to not give credence to appearances and let Holy Spirit show us the Truth that lies beyond appearances. The Holy Spirit will always show us the Love that is everywhere, the Love that we are.

As we open to His vision, we experience a sense of profound completion, invulnerability and limitlessness. This is the experience of our true Home in God. The more we focus on the truth that lies beyond appearances, the more we experience that we remain in Heaven, as God created us.

A Prayer of Willingness

God’s will is the only will I want… I relax and open to His will… I am willing to receive inspiration from my true Self… I am willing to hand over the reins and follow… I do not look to things of the world for answers but, rather, open to the Light of Truth within… I open to the Light of the Christ Mind…

It shows me a world of peace and oneness. This world is beyond time and space where eternal peace abides. This world is all I want. This world is all I need.
