Bloom Where You Are Planted

The images you make cannot prevail against what God Himself would have you be. Be never fearful of temptation, then, but see it as it is; another chance to choose again, and let Christ’s strength prevail in every circumstance and every place you raised an image of yourself before. For what appears to hide the face of Christ is powerless before His majesty, and disappears before His holy sight. The saviors of the world, who see like Him, are merely those who choose His strength instead of their own weakness, seen apart from Him. (A Course in Miracles, T-31.VIII.4:1-4)

Today we will be practice being aware that we are in Holy Spirit’s school of awakening. We will remember that every now moment is another opportunity to see as Holy Spirit sees. Every now moment is another opportunity to choose the strength of Christ in us instead of the weakness of the ego thought system.

We use every problem as an opportunity to choose once again, this time with Holy Spirit. We bloom where we are planted when use the now moment to learn Holy Spirit’s lessons for us and receive the miracles that come with choosing peace and extending it to the world.

We Are Safe in a World of Innocence

When we accept the Holy Spirit’s purpose for us, our only job is to forgive or let go of all the images of the world. The ego made the world as a hiding place where the oneness of God’s Love is denied and separation is made to appear real.

But the purpose given the world can be changed. With the Holy Spirit, the purpose becomes forgiveness. When we accept Holy Spirit’s purpose in our life, every moment becomes an opportunity to look past the forms of the world and accept God’s ever present gift of Love. When we do this, a seeming adversary becomes our savior, for we recognize in him the truth of his innocence and Love as the Son of God. We see the true reflection of What we are instead of the guilt that comes with believing that we are separate.

Today we practice aligning with the Holy Spirit and letting Him show us our brothers as they truly are — one with us in the one Self that is God’s Son. With Holy Spirit’s help, we will learn of our innocence as we see it in our brothers. We will see our Friend instead of an image of an enemy. We will be at peace, for we will know we are safe in a world of innocence.

Receiving Holy Spirit’s Insight and Peace

Come to the holy instant and be healed, for nothing that is there received is left behind on your returning to the world. And being blessed you will bring blessing. Life is given you to give the dying world. …The holy instant’s radiance will light your eyes, and give them sight to see beyond all suffering and see Christ’s face instead. (A Course in Miracles, T-27.V.6:1-3,5.)

Today we practice going to our quiet mind in our inner place of peace. And in this holy place we receive the inspiration we need to guide us through the day.

We let go of doing things on our own and strengthen the habit of joining with the Holy Spirit in every situation that comes up. In quietness is every problem quietly resolved. And for this constant inner Help, we give thanks.

Letting Go of the Dream of Guilt

Rest in the Holy Spirit, and allow His gentle dreams to take the place of those you dreamed in terror and in fear of death. He brings forgiving dreams, in which the choice is not who is the murderer and who shall be the victim. In the dreams He brings there is no murder and there is no death. The dream of guilt is fading from your sight, although your eyes are closed. A smile has come to lighten up your sleeping face. The sleep is peaceful now, for these are happy dreams. Dream softly of your sinless brother, who unites with you in holy innocence. And from this dream the Lord of Heaven will Himself awaken His beloved Son. (T-27.VII.14:3-8;15:1-2)

We are learning that projection makes perception and that what we see outside in the world is coming from our own mind. We are learning to put the Holy Spirit in charge of our dream. We are learning to accept His dream of innocence instead of the ego’s dreams of guilt.

With Holy Spirit’s dreams we see there is no death. We are brought to the truth that we remain as God created us — innocent, whole and complete. These are the happy dreams the Holy Spirit brings as we are willing to hand over our dreams of guilt and let them be replaced by the Holy Spirit’s dream of holy innocence.

We Live in God

I live in God. In Him I find my refuge and my strength. In Him is my Identity. In Him is everlasting peace. And only there will I remember Who I really am. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.261.1:4-8)

God is our refuge and security. Today we strengthen the habit of taking every perceived problem or disturbance to the Holy Spirit. We open to Holy Spirit’s peace and safety. We would not try to solve problems on our own.

We rely on the Source of Help That knows the whole picture beyond what we can grasp with our limited perceptions. We remember that the insights we receive from the Holy Spirit always extend Love and lead us to our Home in peace.

The Holy Spirit’s solutions heal our sense of limitation and separation and teach us of our wholeness and safety. He reminds us that we really are safe and we can experience this safety reflected in the world. As we follow Holy Spirit’s lead, we demonstrate that we are always safe in God because, in truth, we live in God.

We Let Peace Lead the Way

This world gets very complex and complicated. Many times we feel uncertain about what is best for all concerned.

We open our minds to the Holy Spirit and follow His lead in the present moment… We receive His peace… We feel the calmness and gentleness that comes with joining with Him… We remember that everything is all right… We let God’s peace flow into every corner of our mind… We let peace lead the way in every situation we encounter.

The Desire to Return to Truth

The function of the Holy Spirit is to arouse in you the desire for Truth. He holds this desire for you until you are ready; then He delivers it to you, to become a part of your mind. The call for Truth will exert an irresistible attraction on your mind, if you will let it. The ego counters this call by obscuring it, by drowning it out with a constant stream of thoughts and impulses. By keeping you constantly busy responding to internal and external stimulation, there is no place in your mind where the call of Truth can be received. You have forgotten Truth so long ago, even Its memory is no longer accessible to you without help. The Holy Spirit is the call to awaken, to return to the Kingdom. He is a part of your Higher Mind, and He holds for you the memory of all that is good and true. (From the Christ Mind p. 96. Click here for more information about From the Christ Mind)

The connection to the Holy Spirit is made in our minds as we truly want our connection to be strong and complete. Our practice today is to reinforce our desire to connect with the Holy Spirit in our minds. What we truly want in our heart of hearts is what we will receive because we have the strength of God in us.

As we accept our innate strength, our desire to be connected with the Holy Spirit and receive His help supersedes our old habit of identification with the ego. As our connection with the Holy Spirit strengthens, we want to see the Truth in every circumstance. This desire for Truth brings the Truth into our awareness. With Holy Spirit, we naturally rise above the battleground to see the Love that is always there because of our desire to return to Truth.
