Our One Responsibility

The Holy Spirit stands ever ready to assist you in all ways; it is in letting yourself be guided in all things, in making no decisions by yourself, that your mind and perception are corrected, and you are set free to return to the Kingdom. Thus your one responsibility is to accept the Atonement, the undoing, for yourself. In meeting this one condition is everything included and salvation made certain. (From the Christ Mind, p. 162. Today we practice staying connected with the Holy Spirit all through the day. When we find that we have forgotten, we return again to opening to quiet listening to the Holy Spirit. We affirm again and again, throughout the day, that we will make no decisions on our own. We consciously choose to accept Holy Spirit’s Help with everything today.

Letting the Holy Spirit Be Our Interpreter

We don’t have to go anywhere to find peace. We don’t need to do anything to be loved. We don’t have to find special circumstances to be happy. Peace and love and happiness are gifts given us in our Creation. If we don’t experience Them, we are simply denying What we already have. This denial comes with the wish to have our own little kingdom we can call our own — to be special.

Because the idea of being separate and alone is only a belief, we can change our minds and let it go. The moment we give up the belief that we are alone and separate from our Source, Love and all Its blessings rush in to take the place of fear and guilt. To make way for Love’s blessing to return, we need to let go of the wish for specialness, the wish for separation. This is forgiveness. This is a forgiveness that is beyond the capability of the ego, the thought system of separation.

To truly forgive, we need to turn to the Holy Spirit in our minds and offer Him all our thoughts in the world with willingness to be shown what is true and what is false. With His help, we easily release what we learn is false and make way for the truth of Love to fill our minds.

As we forgive our mistaken beliefs, we experience increasing happiness for no reason. Our days are more peaceful and we rest assured that we are loved and we recognize the Love in all our brothers. We are no longer deceived by the appearances of the world. They seem less and less real to us and the Love of God within becomes recognized more and more as our Reality.

Today we practice letting Holy Spirit be our Interpreter in each moment.

We Rest in God

“I rest in God.” Completely undismayed, this thought will carry you through storms and strife, past misery and pain, past loss and death, and onward to the certainty of God. There is no suffering it cannot heal. There is no problem that it cannot solve. And no appearance but will turn to truth before the eyes of you who rest in God. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.109.3)

Today we will practice remembering that we rest in God.… With our practice we will let this idea that we rest in God permeate all our doing… We will return to this remembering again and again and again, throughout the day…

We rest in God… God is our Life… We have no life but the Life we live in God… We remember that we are immersed in God’s Love… We are permeated with God’s peace… We remember we are safe eternally in our oneness with God… We let ourselves remember that we have never left God in truth… We join with all our brothers in the truth that we all rest in God…

Let Holy Spirit Be the Judge in All Things

Let [Holy Spirit] be Judge as well of everything that seems to happen to you in this world. His lessons will enable you to bridge the gap between illusions and the truth.

He will remove all faith that you have placed in pain, disaster, suffering and loss. He gives you vision which can look beyond these grim appearances, and can behold the gentle face of Christ in all of them. You will no longer doubt that only good can come to you who are beloved of God, for He will judge all happenings, and teach the single lesson that they all contain.

He will select the elements in them which represent the truth, and disregard those aspects which reflect but idle dreams. And He will reinterpret all you see, and all occurrences, each circumstance, and every happening that seems to touch on you in any way from His one frame of reference, wholly unified and sure. And you will see the love beyond the hate, the constancy in change, the pure in sin, and only Heaven’s blessing on the world. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.151.9:6-11:3)

Today we choose to stand with Holy Spirit and let Him be the Judge on our behalf of everything we perceive in the world. With His help we will see the Love beyond all appearances. We will remember that we are safe at Home in our Father’s House. In this place of safety, we know we are free to extend the Love we are everywhere and to everyone. This is our dedication for today.

Resting in the Light Where Joy Is

To rest in the Light, we must not see ourselves as separate. The Light of Love joins us all in Its oneness. When we allow ourselves to accept the Love that is given us by our Creator, we experience the joy of Love. We see our brothers with us in that Love.

In this world, when someone we love dearly has been away for a long time, we experience great joy when we see them again. This is a tiny taste of the joy that is ours to experience when we let ourselves accept the Love that joins us all. We welcome every brother into our hearts with joy. We rest in the Light of Love.

Every moment today is an opportunity to rest in the Light of Love where joy is.

Letting Holy Spirit Restore Our Mind to Sanity

We state again the truth about your Self, the holy Son of God Who rests in you; whose mind has been restored to sanity. You are the spirit lovingly endowed with all your Father’s Love and peace and joy. You are the spirit which completes Himself, and shares His function as Creator. He is with you always, as you are with Him.

Spirit am I, a holy Son of God, free of all limits, safe and healed and whole, free to forgive, and free to save the world. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.97.2:1-4;7:2)

We are one Self, united as the one Spirit of Love. Our daily practice is to open to our true Identity as Love and remember that we are one with all of God’s Love. The Holy Spirit resides in our minds and is always there to help us remember this truth about ourselves.

We let Holy Spirit help us remember by consistently joining with Him in our minds and letting Him be our Interpreter of everything we perceive in the world. The Holy Spirit will show us the loving Truth beyond the images of separation. As we accept His vision, we free the world from our judgments and recognize the presence of God’s Love everywhere. We move from the insanity of fear and guilt toward the recognition of the Love and innocence we are.

We Accept God’s Peace Today

Today we focus on accepting the peace that comes from our Father to His Son… We put out the welcome mat for peace and let it gently flow through every part of our mind… We accept God’s peace and let it extend through us with every thought, every interaction and all our doing…

Accepting God’s gift of peace and extending it all through the day is our primary focus… Because we are one with our Father and peace is inherent in God, we remember that peace is inherent in us… We remember we are one with God’s peace today… We are the beingness of peace… and we are grateful for the blessings peace brings as we receive the peace we are and extend it to the world.
