You Are God’s Son

You are God’s Son. In immortality you live forever. Would you not return your mind to this? Then practice well the thought the Holy Spirit gives you for today. Your brothers stand released with you in it; the world is blessed along with you, God’s Son will weep no more, and Heaven offers thanks for the increase of joy your practice brings even to it. And God Himself extends His Love and happiness each time you say:

I am not a body. I am free. I hear the Voice that God has given me, and it is only this my mind obeys. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.199:8)

Today is a day of recognizing how blessed we are as God’s Son. As God’s Son, we are Love, immersed in Love. We are peace and joy, totally one with all peace and joy. We have all of Heaven in our minds, because in truth we are Heaven. God has given all of Himself to the Sonship. Today we live in gratitude for all the blessings and happiness that are ours, only requiring our willingness to receive.

There Is Nothing to Fear. God Is Here.

God is your safety in every circumstance. His Voice speaks for Him in all situations and in every aspect of all situations, telling you exactly what to do to call upon His strength and His protection. There are no exceptions because God has no exceptions. And the Voice which speaks for Him thinks as He does.

…try to reach down into your mind to a place of real safety. You will recognize that you have reached it if you feel a sense of deep peace, however briefly. Let go all the trivial things that churn and bubble on the surface of your mind, and reach down and below them to the Kingdom of Heaven. There is a place in you where there is perfect peace. There is a place in you where nothing is impossible. There is a place in you where the strength of God abides. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.47.3,7)

Being willing to recognize that God is with us in every circumstance is a key element to freeing ourselves from the experience of bondage and limitation that comes with believing we are a separate identity. Our practice for today is to reinforce as much as possible that God is with us and in our mind right now. God’s Voice is there every minute of the day to help return us to the remembrance of our one true Identity in God.

Remembering God is letting ourselves experience the joy and peace that is inherent in What we are. If we are in fear or worried about anything, it is a sign that we need to remember that our strength is in God, not in trying to solve problems on our own. When we accept God’s strength, peace and joy as ours, we know there is nothing to fear.

Thank You Father for Your Gifts

Our prayer for today:
Help us to be Your expressions of Love in the world, Father. Help us remember Your gifts of strength, certainty, happiness and peace. Help us bring Your assurance of Your gifts to our brothers and learn that They are ours as well.

Help us release the barriers we have mistakenly interposed between our awareness and the gifts You have given us. With Your help we will move past these mistaken beliefs and remember that we are the Love You created us to be. We will recognize that same Love in every brother. And we will be Your messengers of Love as we demonstrate and teach what we need to learn. Thank You Father for Your Gifts.

Be God’s Love Today

What a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine’s Day — to be the Love we are and see Love’s Presence in everyone. When we are willing to remember that we, along with everyone, are eternally the pure Love of God, every encounter becomes a holy encounter. Every day is Valentine’s Day. We extend the idea of eternal Love and receive the idea of eternal Love.

We join with the Love in everyone and recognize everyone as our one Self. Peace and joy reign, for there is no conflict in the oneness of Love — only happiness. We were created by Love and we still are as Love created us. Today we celebrate by remembering to be What we were created to be. Happy Valentine’s day!

Let Go and Let God

We were created by Love as Love. If we don’t experience ourselves in the joy and peace of Love, we are interfering with what we are in truth. We are denying What is. So let go and let God means stop denying What we were created to be.

We stop the denial by forgiving or letting go of the wish to be separate from Love. The wish for specialness, the wish to have our own unique identity, is the denial of Love. When we value the forms of the world, we are valuing false images instead of Love and thus we are denying Love.

Forgiveness is the key to happiness. Forgiveness is the way we make way for the experience of Love’s presence. We forgive by holding our minds open to Holy Spirit’s interpretation of everything we perceive in the world. He will show us the unity of Love beyond all appearances of form.

Today we will remind ourselves that of ourselves we do not know what anything means and we are willing to let the Holy Spirit teach us His meaning in each moment. This is how we let go and let God.

Why Do We Want the Holy Spirit’s Help?

The ego offers us a seemingly endless list of things to do that will bring us happiness, safety, comfort, friendship, status — all centered around maintaining our identification with the body and a separate identity. If we consider the results of our pursuit of any of these things honestly, we see that they have never satisfied, never lasted.

The Holy Spirit offers us the means to step out of the uncertainty, vulnerability and chaos of the ego’s world. He offers us one Gift that is all encompassing. He offers us the remembrance of the Love of God, which is already ours.

God’s Love can transport us into a state of stillness and perfect peace that lasts forever. It brings us certainty and invulnerability that cannot be disturbed. “Through the Love of God within you, you can resolve all seeming difficulties without effort and in sure confidence.” (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.50.4:5)

This is what we choose when we choose to accept the Holy Spirit’s help. This is what we truly want in our heart of hearts. When we choose the Holy Spirit’s help, we choose the protection of God’s Love in all circumstances.

Getting Out of Holy Spirit’s Way

…today we rest from senseless planning, and from every thought that blocks the truth from entering our minds. Today we will receive instead of plan, that we may give instead of organize. And we are given truly, as we say:

If I defend myself I am attacked. But in defenselessness I will be strong, and I will learn what my defenses hide.

Nothing but that. If there are plans to make, you will be told of them. They may not be the plans you thought were needed, nor indeed the answers to the problems which you thought confronted you.

Try not to shape this day as you believe would benefit you most. For you can not conceive of all the happiness that comes to you without your planning.” (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.135.22:1-5;23:1-3;26:1-2)

If we want to be happy, we need to get out of Holy Spirit’s way. We need to be willing to let Him lead us in every moment with perfect trust that He knows what will make us truly happy. God’s Will for us is perfect happiness and He gave us the Holy Spirit in our minds to lead us to recognize that God’s Will is our true Self’s Will. Our will is to be truly happy.

Today our practice is to stay in the center of peace in our minds where we receive Holy Spirit’s inspiration, which will always lead us to perfect peace, perfect joy and Love without limit.
