A New Way to See

Behind the Anger

Recently I was open to another perspective and these thoughts were given to me.

WB lesson 320: “My Father gives all power unto me.”
“Your Will can do all things in me, and then extend to
all the world as well thru me.
There is no limit on your Will. And so all power has been given to Your Son.”

It is my choice to give up all thoughts that hurt.

When I feel anger at a partner or a friend, I can look to see what the belief is behind that anger. When I feel annoyance at someone, that reflects my belief that I don’t walk my talk (as that is what I perceive that person is doing or not doing). I listen to the insane unreal voice of lack in my head. When I let go of belief in lack that I perceive in my brother, I let go of my lack belief too. After all, I’m seeing my projection of the thought of lack. I’m looking at my own belief in loss and scarcity. Any fear I project onto a brother is always the thought I have about myself.

It is impossible to share lies—-my made-up story stays in my mind (thoughts leave not their source). What I attempt to get rid of—-just morphs into another fear, and is not gone as the ego would llike me to believe. I can invite Holy Spirit to correct my error/lie. I can give the thought of lack to Him, for that is His purpose. He cannot take thoughts from me—-but in my willingness to let them go, He does His part. I have been wrong and can be glad that I’m mistaken, for correction is with me. Insane thoughts have no meaning and do not protect me.
Let me not delay my release from hell!

Fear to Listen

I felt I was having difficulty in being still and hearing Spirit’s Voice speak to me. I asked why I seemed to be afraid of hearing.

Spirit: My child, you fear to listen because you think that you will fail in doing what I ask.
But all that is asked of you is to only not decide on your own. Only to take whatever hurts you to H. Spirit for correction. This correction will not hurt you at all. His purpose is only to heal.

In not deciding by your self, you will remember the truth. You will be unburdened by the darkenss and the chains that you made. It is only your thoughts that can give you pain. Only your unreal thoughts that block you from uncovering your inner Light. Stop hiding your thoughts, but allow them to rise to the surface. In your looking at them, you can choose to give them to Holy Spirit that is your true Teacher. His sight is ever gentle and his healing for you is certain. What you give to Him is undone forever. This is not loss—it is freedom. You will know again that all is given to all.

More About Guilt

I once again asked to learn more about guilt, and this is what I received from Spirit.

Spirit: As said earlier, the idea of guilt is a mainstay of the ego. I know that the ego is not real, but you do not. Still, there is a place in your mind where Light and peace prevail, and knowledge is there.

The belief in separation (which runs this world) is the root problem. All the while that you believe that you are apart from God and distinct from your brothers, you will experience guilt on many levels. When you notice any thought that denies your holiness, it is most helpful to take that thought to H.S. Go within with your eternal Guide and look at what underlies the thought.
Your use of the world would keep you imprisoned, H.S.‘s use of the world and all your ideas, will set you free. See every despairing thought as the gift that takes you closer to Home.

With H.S. you learn that many thoughts come from one root belief. And as you recognize the stems, you will use less “time” to correct the perceived error. It will take you less time to realize that the stem comes from the same belief, and so let it go. The ego wants to keep you as it’s ally, but you are learning there are no benefits to keeping the ego as “friend.” It does not save you from guilt, but merely attempts to mask it and let you acquire more.

Then this morning I was given this message:
The truth about you is whole without contradiction of any kind. Your wholeness is your holiness. Nothing can change the truth in you—-for you remain as Love created you. Truth is true.
In truth that are no comparisons, no differences, so there is nothing to judge. You cannot judge between what is all the same. You are willing now to see that all in the dream is the same. All in the dream is illusion. All in the dream is what you have put there, to make separation seem real.  Every single thing in your perception is a reflection of the mind in pain, under chains of guilt. You do not need to hold onto this one second longer!!

You are free NOW. You are Whole NOW. The illusion of guilt, separation, the world, is a fabrication like that of a magic show. None of it is real. None of it has power on its own. Remember to question all that you think is real.
Be glad that you dream a dream….that this world is not real. Be glad that you did not make your self…that the body is not real. Be glad that the truth is true, and the false can never be made real.

Attraction to Guilt

Yesterday morning I posed a question to Spirit, and share the response that I received.
I trust that you will find some useful thought with your waking, as we go Home together.

Here I am Father—- please tell me about the attraction to guilt.

Since the ego is the belief in separation, this belief brings with it fear and guilt. The only cause of guilt is the belief in something that never happened. The belief that you could be something other (different) from Love brings guilt. The ego survival depends on guilt. If you did not believe in guilt, there would be no thought of separation and vice versa; if you did not believe in separation there would be no guilt.

The seeming attraction to guilt, comes from the ego perspective. It wants guilt because that is the illusion that holds it together, seeming to give it reality. Yet to remove faith in either is the undoing of both. This tiny fragment of thought does not want you to learn/remember that there is no thing that causes guilt. Yet you have total domain over your dream, and what you ask for you receive. If you truly want freedom, then forgive yourself for the dream you made. Forgive the images, thoughts, beliefs that you dream. In forgiving what is unreal, what never happened, you welcome the truth. You open your mind and accept the light that shines within. You choose only the Light of Love as what is yours. You let go of childish games and meaningless toys.

Yet as long as you place value on the images in your dream, so you keep your self from Heaven and awareness of Love. When you accept Guidance from your True Self, Holy Spirit, you are willing to lay aside the meaningless toys and empty images. You are willing to stop being the author of your world, your story, your self.
The things that seem to attract you in the dream are simply distractions to inhibit your waking. When you prefer your story over the truth, you will not receive the truth, for you have chosen your story. But you can always choose again. There is no shame in changing your mind about what you want.

Everything in your dream is simply a back drop, like that on a stage or movie. Minds that perceive the world as tragic, chaotic, barbaric and disastrous, only mistake the backdrop for reality. Yet given to H.S. to interpret the mind learns that there is only good. With H.S. the perception of good is always available no matter what is in the backdrop.

Let Me Be Still

In the latter half of Sept. I received these thoughts from Holy Spirit:

“I will be still and listen to the Truth.”

Any time that I experience a ‘woe is me’ feeling or decide to get sucked into the ego depression—-that is when (Now) I need ask for help from Spirit. I can look with Spirit and follow the beliefs (down the line) to the one belief that made the whole stack. I can ask Spirit to heal that belief Now and let it be gone.

If I try to do this looking on my own, I will be wrong, for my interpretation is based on a non-existent past.

Spirit works with healing my mind—-which may or may not appear in the physical world. Yet, as my mind is healed of separation thoughts, the world I think I see, will change accordingly. My projection will change; I will begin to recognize what is true and cease trying to make the false true. I will stop projecting my fear and guilt.
The illusory is false, always.
Love is real. Truth is true.

“God is with me—-I cannot be deceived.”

My Only Goal

I share with you some of the thoughts that came to mind after reviewing ACIM Lesson 256.

“How long, O Son of God, will you maintain the game of sin?”
All my pretenses cannot change everlasting Love.

Lesson 256: “God is the only goal I have today.”
God is my goal; forgiveness is the means by which my mind returns to Him at last.

My only purpose is to lay forgiveness on all my dream images; to let go of my false definitions and to accept Christ’s complete perception of all I think I see.
———- I am as God created me. There is no body—- I am free.
I am Love and nothing else.
I have no goal except to hear Your Voice,
and to follow the way your sacred Word has pointed out to me.
Let me be still and listen to the Truth.

Spirit: The dream of pain and destruction is not necessary at all. This dream keeps the ego “alive”, but it is only an idea that separation could be real. Separation is maintained in fantasies from a mind that deceives itself.
(me: Self deception is not the goal I would keep.)

The dream of destruction is not necessary because you remain as God created you. Since you remain as Love created you, you are guiltless, sinless. You have never changed what Love created….... everlasting Love is changeless. What you have dreamed as happening never occurred at all. You are safe. You are innocent. You are Love. You are Home.

You will experience the happy dream, as you follow the HS within, and forgive the images you thought you made. Forgive the thoughts you thought were real.
You can choose to ignore the Truth, but Truth is not altered by your choice.

(me) What I think is real is not real. What I think is true is not true. I need not fear….. for all my wrong thinking can be (and has been) corrected. There is no lapse when truth returns to my awareness.
I need only lay aside my defense against the Truth. Endless Love comes in endless ways. There is no love “outside.” Only Love is real.

Trying to Find Happiness

Dear Reader,  I was going through last year’s journal, and came across this entry. This is another lesson that I would repeat and have Love’s memory return to an unclouded mind.

God’s Love is everywhere, how can I be afraid with His Love everywhere?
What can cause me to think or believe that I am not included in His Love?
Why would I choose to think that I could be excluded from the Love that is
always present, always eternal, forever with It’s creation?

God is but Love, and therefore so am I.
I am as Love created me. Thoughts leave not their Source.

If I follow the ego system, I will be in fear. I will think that God cannot be trusted and must be feared. I will not be open to the love that surrounds me, while I dream.
The ego tells me that I would be happy if I had another body close to me. Or maybe I should go back and finish the lesson that I started with that person. It always tells me that happiness lies in the future, never the present moment. Or happiness is some other place, not where I am in the moment.

I have mistaken happiness for many different forms in the dream. I have been led by the ego in it’s insane quests, desires, illusions, and plans. I need to learn (once and for all) that happiness is never in any form. Happiness is within me, for it is recognizing that I am whole, complete, and totally innocent. It is seeing with Holy Eyes, that I remain as Love created me. It is knowing that what Love creates cannot be changed. Happiness is accepting that truth is true, I did not create my self or my body. I cannot “be” something other then what Love created. That is impossible. What I have told myself over eons, does not change what Love created.

If I feel unhappy, it is because I am trying to “live” a lie.
