Seeing Past Time to Eternity

What time but now can truth be recognized? The present is the only time there is. And so today, this instant, now, we come to look upon what is forever there; not in our sight, but in the eyes of Christ. He looks past time, and sees eternity as represented there. He hears the sounds the senseless, busy world engenders, yet He hears them faintly. For beyond them all He hears the song of Heaven, and the Voice for God more clear, more meaningful, more near. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.164.1)

Today our focus is to see past time to the eternal truth in everyone, including ourselves… We remember that time is an illusion and that Love, our true Nature, is changeless and eternal… This remembering brings us peace and joy… It brings our mind to a place of quiet happiness…

We let go of trying to change what God created… We let go of our image of What God is… We let go of trying to be different from our Source… We move past time to what is eternally true… We remember that we are so blessed and we bless the world with this remembering…

Practice Seeing with the Eyes of Christ

Christ’s vision has one law. It does not look upon a body, and mistake it for the Son whom God created. It beholds a light beyond the body; an idea beyond what can be touched, a purity undimmed by errors, pitiful mistakes, and fearful thoughts of guilt from dreams of sin. It sees no separation. And it looks on everyone, on every circumstance, all happenings and all events, without the slightest fading of the light it sees.

We practice seeing with the eyes of Christ today. And by the holy gifts we give, Christ’s vision looks upon ourselves as well. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.158.7,11:3-4)

Today we are willing to be carried by Christ’s vision. Christ’s vision is always there in our mind waiting for our acceptance as the only Truth there is. Today we practice accepting the Truth. This is how we heal and this is how we are healed. We are single-minded today — we open our minds and accept Christ’s vision all through the day.

With this practice, Christ’s vision will show us the Love that is our brother, which will remind us of the Love we are. Each one we see with Christ’s vision will bring joy to our hearts, for we will be seeing our one Self reflected back to us. With this practice it will be a happy day indeed.

A Touch of Heaven

This is a day of silence and of trust. It is a special time of promise in your calendar of days. It is a time Heaven has set apart to shine upon, and cast a timeless light upon this day, when echoes of eternity are heard. This day is holy, for it ushers in a new experience; a different kind of feeling and awareness. You have spent long days and nights in celebrating death. Today you learn to feel the joy of life. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.157.1)

We bring a touch of Heaven to the world when we recognize our brothers as wholly innocent and wholly loving. This is the vision of Christ. It means that we are seeing with forgiving eyes, free of judgment and free of the past.

Today we are willing to let the vision of Christ in our minds show us the innocence and love in everyone. We would let the Guide to this vision transform our mistaken thoughts of guilt and fear, washing them clean and returning them to us in perfect innocence and Love. We are willing to be led.

Today is a day of vigilance to recognize our thoughts based upon the mistaken belief in being separate and to offer them to the holy Corrector in our minds that we may walk the way of truth. Each time a thought of guilt or fear is transformed into the recognition of our oneness in Love, we bring a touch of Heaven to the world.

Let the Veil of Illusion Be Lifted

We let the veil of illusion be lifted today. Our true Self knows the difference between illusion and Reality. We choose to open our minds to the healing perspective of the Holy Spirit to see the truth beyond illusions. We step back consistently today to become aware of Love’s Presence and feel the peace and joy that comes from our true Nature. We let ourselves be carried to the truth today. And for this we give thanks.

Letting Peace Extend to Every Aspect of Our Life

As peace extends from deep inside yourself to embrace all the Sonship and give it rest, it will encounter many obstacles. Some of them you will try to impose. Others will seem to arise from elsewhere; from your brothers, and from various aspects of the world outside. Yet peace will gently cover them, extending past completely unencumbered. The extension of the Holy Spirit’s purpose from your relationship to others, to bring them gently in, is the way in which He will bring means and goal in line. The peace He lay, deep within you and your brother, will quietly extend to every aspect of your life, surrounding you and your brother with glowing happiness and the calm awareness of complete protection. And you will carry its message of love and safety and freedom to everyone who draws nigh unto your temple, where healing waits for him.” (A Course in Miracles, T-19.IV.1:1-7)

As we let the Holy Spirit be in charge of our minds, peace extends through us unhindered by any obstacles… We know we are connected through the Holy Spirit in every brother… As we let the Holy Spirit guide all our thoughts, we feel the peace of our true Nature… We easily remember the true Nature of everyone we meet or even think of… We recognize our connection and our eternal safety in the beingness of our one true Self… We heal as we let our minds be healed… And we are filled with gratitude as the truth fills our minds with peace.

The Joy of Love

Think of how it feels when you fall in love. It’s a joy to be with that person. You may even feel you want to spend the rest of your life with that person. You want to be with that person all the time.

Think about what it would be like to feel that way about everyone, without exception. Your days would be filled with joy and nothing could disturb your peace. You would see everyone as your dearest Friend.

All that stands between you and this experience is a false idea of what you are. You were created in joy by Love. But when you believe you are separate from this Love, joy is impossible. Sorrow follows you wherever you go while you think you are separate from the Love that created you. You are still this Love, though you are unaware of it.

To let this Love return to your awareness, you need to forgive yourself for the vain imagining that you are something other than Love. Let the Truth in you, the Holy Spirit, guide all your seeing today. Let Him help you see past the imagined forms of separation, lack and loss. Let Him help you see the Light of Love that is everywhere around you and in you. Let Him help you forgive yourself.

Today we again practice letting Holy Spirit guide all our seeing.

Answering Love’s Call

Love is one and knows there is nothing outside of Itself. That is why attack is inconceivable to Love. The dream of separation that is this world is the denial of the oneness of Love and is therefore the denial of Love Itself. Everyone who believes they are in this world experiences lack of Love and feels incomplete.

In this world we are all seeking for completion, calling for the Love we believe we have lost. In the thought system of separation we search for completion by looking for it outside of ourselves in some form or situation or relationship. Sometimes we seek completion by being nice, to be accepted, hoping that someone will take the bait and join with us. Sometimes it seems as if this tactic works except that eventually we realize that we still feel incomplete.

This triggers a reaction to the other’s failure to fulfill the role we assigned so we attack them for their failure. This dynamic is the basis for war as well as depression and anger. Attack never resolves anything. It simply perpetuates the perception of separation and the guilt that comes with it. Thankfully we are given the means to step out of the cycle of seeking and not finding, attack and guilt.

This gift from God is His Voice in our minds, ever ready to guide us back to Love, when we are willing to follow. With the practice of turning over all judgment to the Holy Spirit to judge on our behalf, we make way for a new way of seeing. What we think is threat, the Holy Spirit shows us is a call for Love. He shows us how to answer that call with Love instead of a counterattack. And we will learn that only Love is real. We will learn that we are Love and nothing else.
