Joy Comes with Remembering the Love We Are

We want to be happy. We want to remember Who we are. These are two ways of saying the same thing. The key to remembering who we are is to let go of trying to be something else, a separate identity, apart from our Source and from all of Creation.

To forgive is to let go of belief that we are separate from Love. Judgment is the denial of Love. Forgiveness welcomes Love and makes way for Love’s extension through us.

Today we would make way for Love by letting the Holy Spirit be our interpreter in each moment. His interpretation will always show us the oneness of Love beyond the images of separation. With His help we will learn to recognize that the world holds nothing that we really want, and we freely set aside the world’s artificial values. In their place we will receive the joy that comes as we remember the Love we are.

Let Go and Let God

To let go and let God is to let Love be. It is to let Love guide all our doing. Love answers every call for Love with Love.

When we judge or feel fearful, we are calling for Love. When we are willing to take those thoughts and feelings to the Voice for Love, we receive Love’s Answer. We are helped to look past the frightening and guilty images to the changeless Love that is always there. With Love’s Help, we can let go of the false images and make way for Love to flow through us. Today we practice letting go and letting Love be.

Peace Is Ours to Have and Give

Father, Your peace is mine. What need have I to fear that anything can rob me of what You would have me keep? I cannot lose Your gifts to me. And so the peace You gave Your Son is with me still, in quietness and in my own eternal love for You. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.273.2)

Today we practice being and extending God’s peace. We let today be a day of gentleness and Love. We follow as we are guided by the Prince of Peace. We decide nothing on our own. We let ourselves be carried by the wings of peace today.

Remembering Who We Are

This is our prayer today: Holy Spirit, help us see the Light of Love beyond the shadow images of the world. Help us let go of the shadows of the past that bring fear and guilt to hide the Love and innocence that we are eternally as we were created. Help us see past the images of separation and recognize our brothers are one with us in Love and joy. We are willing to loose the world from all we thought it was and accept Your vision in its place. Teach us that we may remember Who we are. Amen.

Accepting God’s Constant Care

Today we step back and follow… We open our minds to inspiration from our right Mind, the Holy Spirit… We relax and let ourselves be carried… We receive the peace that comes from joining with our right Mind…

We remember that we are not alone and do not try to solve problems on our own… We feel relaxed and carefree, remembering that we walk with God… We are under God’s constant care and all our needs are met… We stay vigilant to see everything as Holy Spirit, our true Self, sees it… If any fear thoughts come up, we hand them over to the One Who knows to shine the Light of truth upon them… The fear will disappear in the Light of truth. We let Holy Spirit carry us through the day in peace and joy… And we give thanks.

Being Willing to Choose Love

When we look upon a brother, what do we see? Do we see an adversary, a competitor, a threat to our safety, someone we hope will complete us? Or do we see a mighty Companion, joined with us in Love, reflecting our wholeness, our innocence, our invulnerability, back to us?

In both instances we are seeing reflected back to us what we believe about ourselves. The first instance is reflecting back a belief in a false image. The second is reflecting back to us the truth of our Creation and our eternal, changeless state as Love’s extension. In every moment we choose between these two ways of seeing.

Because we have learned the lessons of the false image of separation well, we have lost sight of what we are really choosing. Fortunately, we have help to show us the falsity of what we believe and have chosen. We have within our minds the Teacher Who will show us the real choice and help us lay aside the mistaken beliefs that have hidden the choice for Love.

Today we again practice walking with the Holy Spirit as our Guide and Teacher in each moment. We are willing to be taught to see the Love that lies beyond all appearance. We are willing to choose Love.

We Have Help

Not one light in Heaven but goes with you. Not one Ray that shines forever in the Mind of God but shines on you. Heaven is joined with you in your advance to Heaven. When such great lights have joined with you to give the little spark of your desire the power of God Himself, can you remain in darkness? You and your brother are coming home together, after a long and meaningless journey that you undertook apart, and that led nowhere. You have found your brother, and you will light each other’s way. And from this light will the Great Rays extend back into darkness and forward unto God, to shine away the past and so make room for His eternal Presence, in which everything is radiant in the light. (A Course in Miracles, T-18.III.8)

Often we do not realize how much help we have. We often think we have to figure it out on our own. We are finding that, because we are still one in God, we have all the help we need.

We receive the help when we are open minded and are willing to be led to a changed perception. The Holy Spirit is always there ready to purify our minds of all the false ideas we are holding, as we are willing. Today our practice is to consistently step back and listen to inner Inspiration from the Holy Spirit.

As we let the Light in, we see our brothers differently. We see the Light of God in them, which reminds us of the Light of God in us. We return to Love, where God would have us be. We give thanks for all the Help we have in every now moment.
