Once it’s decided to hand things over to Holy Spirit, the loving, healing experiences just don’t stop… If we can learn to understand and accept that all things happen for our good and stop attempting to attach our requirements onto how things should look and how they should be reflected externally, life really does become a happy dream!

This past week, Walter Ego took a stand. It was a stand against all that I have been reaching for in the past year. Walter must feel threatened. He must feel attacked. He must feel afraid. He must feel as if he is losing control.
That would be okay, assuming that I understand this during the time that Walter decides to stand up for himself. What is it that causes me to forget that he is only as strong as I allow him to be? Why, in moments of combustion, do I forget the words of Glinda, the Good Witch of the North: “You have no power here. Begone! Before someone drops a house on you, too!”?

At Pathways of Light in Kiel I was part of one amazing ordination where all eleven students were so loved and nurtured by three of the most awesome facilitators, till we began to heal and became more loving and became nurturers to each other. It felt like my whole self was being made complete.

About ten years ago I met a lady named Mrs. Gaskin. She gleamed of love, spoke softly and was peace filled. Mrs. Gaskin asked if she could visit me sometimes, and I said yes. I felt comfortable around her even though my dad was prejudiced and taught us never to trust white people.
Right away trusting her felt right. She never judged me even though I was on drugs and depressed. She loved me right where I was, and wanted nothing from me. Every week Mrs. Gaskin came and no matter what I was doing when she called, I stopped. That amazed me because, as an addict, I would not have normally stopped.

“Perhaps the greatest enigma of time is that nobody has enough of it, yet we almost always succeed in wasting it.” -Pete Mockaitis, The Student Leader’s Field Guide.
When I read this quote I recognized its truth for many of us. I remembered a conversation between two people talking about how busy they were. They were actually one-upping the other with how many hours they worked and how few hours they rested!

When I give up judgement I am left with kindness.
When I leave someone out, I am choosing arrogance and judgement and am covering up kindness.
When I look for offenses of others, I am attempting to hide my own guilt.

I can relate to having one definition of something and “running” with it in my mind and piling other meanings on top of that meaning to get to some other place. I guess that is the ego “auto pilot” system that is amazing and at times keeps me in the dark.
Even when I do my “spiritual work” I am still capable of miscuing and thinking it is something else. I think that is called “blissing over it.”

Relationships are in great need of healing. I have found A Course in Miracles of great help in this healing process.
Here is what I have learned as main points when things go wrong and there is conflict and with it the loss of peace and love.
1. I feel that I need to be a special way to suit the other.
2. The other needs to be a special way to suit me.

What is it like to be unselfish? What is it like to be truly loving? They are one and the same for Love is unselfish and it is of God therefore I don’t have to ‘make’ it.
This became clear to me today when I had to make a decision. I so much wanted to be unselfish and consider others in my life. I felt their needs and desires but it created a conflict with what I felt was right for me. I turned to Holy Spirit who is the ever accessible wisdom in my mind.

In the confusion and merriment of making a move in the world of form, I find that part of my mind puts up many forms of resistance to truth. There seems to be myriad distractions to keep my attention on the things of this world. Yet I always have a choice. Do I want illusions or truth, conflict or peace, fear or Love? Today I had a moment to receive insight from Spirit and it follows…
Me: How can I be truly helpful?
Just forgive, true forgiveness is the way Home.
You can forgive yourself for all the things that you “save” to make you feel safe. All things are distractions to keep you “busy” with form, and to forget the truth that remains in you.

Two years ago my daughter and I were involved in an accident. We were uninsured. We went to court and paid the fees. I thought this was over until September 1st, 2006, when I received a motion for a lawsuit.
My first thought was to get angry and defensive. Then I thought, “I must choose Holy Spirit, not ego.” I laid the papers in a box. A few days later, I picked up the papers and decided, “I will turn this over to Holy Spirit and ask for His instructions.” The papers said that I had to make an appearance and file a response. I asked the Holy spirit, “What kind of a response?” This is what He gave me: “Ask for forgiveness of everyone in the situation.” I wrote a letter asking for forgiveness and attached it to the response.

What a true statement I have come to understand this Lesson to be! I recently took a trip to India to attend a beautiful celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Foundation called The Art of Living.
It was a wonderful celebration, and I support their loving work that goes all around the globe. The teachings of the founder, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, are not really in conflict to the ACIM, even though they have a touch of Hinduism to it.
However, it was the plain people of India who really taught me the big lessons. So I bless them for their so very valuable teachings that they give just by being who they are.

On the Pathways of Light web site, you will find questions and answers for each section of the Text of A Course in Miracles. Below are questions and answers for Chapter 19, Section IV D-i: The Lifting of the Veil, from pgs 421-424.
What does Jesus mean when he talks about lifting the veil?
In this insightful section, Jesus tells us that lifting the veil to see the Christ in every brother is our only meaningful purpose on our journey of returning to the truth. Again and again in the Course, Jesus reminds us not to make the error of separation real or we will remain in hell, along with our brother. “No one can look upon the fear of God unterrified, unless he has accepted the Atonement and learned illusions are not real.” (9:1)

There’s an old song that goes, “Love is nothing ‘til you give it away… you end up having more. Love is like a magic penny, hold on tight and you won’t have any. Lend it, spend it. You’ll have so many, they’ll be rolling all over the floor.” And this is true with miracles today.
What we focus on increases and expands, be it love, miracles, forgiveness, or God’s healing light. It all will become abundant and all my brothers can reap the harvest. The more we try to control in our lives, the less we will truly be happy.

God has a wonderful plan for His Son. And that’s all of us on this planet earth. In A Course in Miracles it says, “Once you accept His Plan as the one function that you would fulfill, there will be nothing the Holy Spirit will not arrange for you without your effort. He will go before you making straight your path, and leaving in your way no stones to trip on no obstacles to bar your way. Nothing you need will be denied you.” T-20.IV.8:4-12
This last sentence really touched me today, because I realized that “I” do not know what I really need to heal. But the Holy Spirit does. I review in my mind all the things the Holy Spirit arranged without my effort.
