Love is Transforming

Only Your Love, God, only Your Love is my life.

This does not mean I have to feel a certain way.  Love is beyond feeling.  I am not required to feel what I have in the past called “loving.”  This is a feeling the ego has called “loving.”  All feelings have been given a title by my mind - some good, some bad.  Some feelings I have called loving and some I have called unloving.  When true Love washes over us, It is present in a different way.  We “feel” Its presence in a way because we are aware of It, but It is much more than any human feeling.  We need no certain human feeling to be aware of It.  It does not depend on human feeling in any way to manifest Itself.  It merely is.

There is nothing I need do to make It right.  There is no way I need to feel to make It right.  I merely let It be - this vast invisible presence that moves with a rhythym of Its own.  Love lives - It has life.  I am merely a part of that life.  This is unconnected to human feeling.  Love can operate through human feeling, but does not need it.  I do not have to try to generate feelings of love in human terms, for these are determined by ego thought - defined by ego thought as to what feels comfortable and usual.

I am released from this struggle.  There is no way I have to feel to be in the presence of Love.  There is no way I have to feel to have Love manifest Itself.  There is no way I have to feel to enable Love to operate in my life and live through me.  Love is not what has always been described in human terms of human relationships.  We as humans have believed that if certain feelings or expressions of what we have named “loving” are not present, then Love is not present.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  Allowing Love is allowing God.  God is so much more than a certain “feeling.”  We do not need to feel a certain way for God to be present, therefore we do not need to feel a certain way for Love to be present.

Human feelings change from time to time and yet we call them the same.  We create them.  We create the thoughts and the feelings than form from them.  We then create terms for these feelings.  Love transcends all this.  When we allow Love to be present, we step forward to a new existence, a new awareness of what Love is.  We let go of old “meanings” we have given Love.  We allow It to work in our minds to create a new meaning for Love for us.  We forget our human definitions and requirements of love’s presence. 

We let Love be present as It Wills, not as ego wills.  We are patient, we are open-minded, we are trusting.  We allow Love.  We are willing for Love to be present as It would.  We give up struggling to generate any feeling in our mind or body.  We allow Love to create what It will.  In this there is total satisfaction.  In this there is life itself waiting for us to acknowledge it.  In this there is everything that is.

Love is transforming.  I am willing to let Love transform me.  I no longer desire to keep the miracle of Love’s transforming presence from my awareness by focusing on littleness.  I am willing to let Love define me in Its way and let go of the ego definition of me.  I cannot make this happen: I can only allow it to happen.  It happens when I allow Love.
