Choosing Holy Spirit’s Program

Our minds are constantly active, processing the information we receive. How we process the information and respond to it depends on which “program” we use. If we use the ego’s program, the information processed is carefully limited to information from the body. Thus the ego’s program always makes the world of form seem real.

The Holy Spirit’s program is also selective. It only pays attention to the information received from Spirit, from the Mind we share with God. Because Spirit is one, the information Spirit brings always shows us our oneness, our wholeness, our unity with Love. With this information, the Holy Spirit’s program responds to all things with Love.

Our practice today is to choose the Holy Spirit as our program with which to process the information we receive each moment. With this choice, this day will be a day filled with Love’s expression.

Learning to Recognize the Mind of Love Everywhere

Heaven itself is reached with empty hands and open minds, which come with nothing to find everything and claim it as their own. We will attempt to reach this state today, with self-deception laid aside, and with an honest willingness to value but the truly valuable and the real.

I will not value what is valueless, and only what has value do I seek, for only that do I desire to find …for what is valuable belongs to me. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.133.13:1-2,4;14:3)

Heaven is the Mind of Wholeness. In reality, our true Identity is the Mind of Oneness, the Mind of Love. Our healing journey leads us to value and follow the Mind of Wholeness rather than the mind of separation. The mind of separation shows us a world that appears to be outside us.

It is only by stepping back, going within our mind and seeking our true Self that we are able to see the world of separation as valueless. The Holy Spirit shows us how to pass by the world of separate bodies and recognize the one Mind of Love everywhere.

To Forgive Is Our Only Purpose

The path to Heaven is very simple. Its purpose is to forgive the world for everything we think it is. Forgiveness offers us quiet joy, deep peace and everlasting Love.

Though the path is simple, it does not seem to be easy. In the world there seems to be many justifications for our judgments and fears. But they can be released if we are willing to accept the Holy Spirit’s help. It cannot be done alone.

To the extent that we are willing to let the Holy Spirit make all judgments on our behalf, we will steadily advance toward the goal of Heaven. As we are willing to ask the Holy Spirit to show us how He sees everything we perceive in the world and accept His vision, we will be set free. This is our practice today.

Think God

Practice but this today; repeat God’s Name slowly again and still again. Become oblivious to every name but His. Hear nothing else. Let all your thoughts become anchored on this. …And then God’s Name becomes our only thought, our only word, the only thing that occupies our minds, the only wish we have, the only sound with any meaning, and the only Name of everything that we desire to see; of everything that we would call our own. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.183.6:1-4,6)

Past everyone and everything is God… Past every form the ego made to blind us is God… Past all sight of differences is God… What blessings come as we practice this holy remembering that only Love is there… only Love is everywhere.

Our sense of well being and gratitude is filled to the brim as we join our Father by remembering the truth. When we think God, we think Love. In this remembrance we see a world of Love. We feel God’s peace. Our hearts are filled with joy.

Forgiving Belief in Separation

What if you recognized this world is an hallucination? What if you really understood you made it up? What if you realized that those who seem to walk about in it, to sin and die, attack and murder and destroy themselves, are wholly unreal? Could you have faith in what you see, if you accepted this? And would you see it?

Hallucinations disappear when they are recognized for what they are. This is the healing and the remedy. Believe them not and they are gone. (A Course in Miracles, T-20.VIII.7:3-8:3)

We see a world of separate bodies because we believe in separation. We believed that we separated from the pure Love that created us. We are now learning that our Source is oneness, and Love’s oneness shares all of Itself with all. We are now learning to let go of the false idea that we could be separate and alone. We are learning that we have the means (Holy Spirit) right in our minds to return to the truth that our Identity is Love. We are returning to the truth that only Love is real. Anything that appears to be separate from Love is just hallucinations. We are learning to forgive this false belief in separation and let it go.

We do this by following our inner Teacher — hour by hour, day by day. He leads us back to the awareness that we never left Heaven. We never left our one eternal Self. We could never leave God. We are dreaming a dream and its content is not true. Our only purpose now is to forgive or let go of the dream. We are seeing that what we thought was something is really nothing. Oh, what a relief it is to wake up from the dream, see everyone’s innocence, and recognize nothing has happened to change God’s one Son.

Following Holy Spirit Through the To Do List

There is plenty on our to-do list today. We can look at it with the ego and use it to put ourselves under pressure and feel overwhelmed. Or we can look at it with Holy Spirit and let Him lead us through it with gentleness and ease.

As we let Him guide all our doing, each moment becomes a lesson in Love instead of the ego’s lesson in fear. As we open to Holy Spirit’s lessons in Love, our day becomes fulfilling and happy. We feel the blessing of letting the Love in us extend in each moment. This is our practice today.

Forgiveness Is My Only Function

Forgiveness gently looks upon all things unknown in Heaven, sees them disappear, and leaves the world a clean and unmarked slate on which the Word of God can now replace the senseless symbols written there before. Forgiveness is the means by which the fear of death is overcome, because it holds no fierce attraction now and guilt is gone. Forgiveness lets the body be perceived as what it is; a simple teaching aid, to be laid by when learning is complete, but hardly changing him who learns at all. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.192.4)

Today we dedicate to being mindful of how we are perceiving each moment. Are we experiencing anything other than peace and quiet joy? If not, an unforgiveness is interfering with our awareness of the Truth. We will take this interference to the Holy Spirit in our minds with willingness to receive His help to lay down the interference and return to recognize the truth that we remain in Love as Love created us, perfectly safe. This is our practice today.
