Accepting and Giving Christ’s Vision

Christ’s vision has one law. It does not look upon a body, and mistake it for the Son whom God created. It beholds a light beyond the body; an idea beyond what can be touched, a purity undimmed by errors, pitiful mistakes, and fearful thoughts of guilt from dreams of sin. It sees no separation. And it looks on everyone, on every circumstance, all happenings and all events, without the slightest fading of the light it sees.

…We practice seeing with the eyes of Christ today. And by the holy gifts we give, Christ’s vision looks upon ourselves as well. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.158.7:1-5;11:3-4)

When anything disturbs our peace, it is always because we see the cause as external. This is because in that moment, we are identifying with being a body, a separate identity.

There is a simple antidote that will set us free. All we need to do is join with the Holy Spirit in our mind to see with His vision, which always disregards the body and any form to see only the Light of Love. That is all there is to really see.

When we welcome this vision, we are at peace. We know there is nothing that can harm us because we are one with all that is real. We recognize that everything is part of us, at one in Love. In this recognition, fear is impossible. With this vision, we welcome our brother and see his holiness, which teaches us of our holiness. What we give, we receive. What we teach, we learn. Our practice today is to accept and give Christ’s vision.

Honoring Our One Self

You are as God created you. Today honor your Self. Let graven images you made to be the Son of God instead of what he is be worshipped not today. Deep in your mind the holy Christ in you is waiting your acknowledgment as you. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.110.9:1-4)

It certainly doesn’t seem that there is a holy Christ in us that is actually What we are. But that is because we are identifying with an image of what we are that is a false idol. This image is actually a defense against accepting the holy Christ in us.

The Course is giving us a way to disconnect from this false idol so that we can open our hearts and minds and acknowledge our Self that is the Christ. This is what forgiveness does.

Letting go of the past, forgiving all grievances, and letting go of judgment are the means to clear away the barriers to the recognition that we remain as God created us — Love and nothing else.

We dedicate this day to reminding ourselves frequently that we are as God created us, united in the one Love of God. It does not matter if we wholeheartedly believe this or not. The frequent reminders will help us open to the truth. That is all we really want.

You Are Being Carried

Remember you are being carried today. Let yourself be led in the present moment. Let go of the future and the past, and focus on how you can be truly helpful right now. Listen and receive. Choose peace as your companion and let the inspiration found in the present moment be your guide. The constancy of God’s gifts will fill you and extend to everyone. The constancy of Heaven’s happiness is yours to receive and give. Let yourself be carried and it will be a day of gratitude.

Be the Love and Let It Flow

All we need to be happy is accept the Love we are and let the Love flow. Letting Love flow is natural. It is unnatural to interfere with Love’s extension. Whenever we judge or seek for happiness in forms of the world, we are interfering with Love’s natural flow. Nothing in the world can bring us true happiness because the world was made as a defense against Love.

This is why forgiveness, letting go of the past, is the key to happiness. Forgiveness clears the way for Love’s natural flow. When we accept complete forgiveness, we naturally experience a quiet inner joy, a sense of relief, a feeling of welcoming embrace of our brother, who is one with us. There can be no greater gift we can give ourselves than this. Today our practice is to be the Love and let It flow.

Accepting Our Holiness, Accepting Our Wholeness

For this alone I need; that you will hear the words I speak, and give them to the world. You are my voice, my eyes, my feet, my hands through which I save the world. The Self from which I call to you is but your own. To Him we go together. Take your brother’s hand, for this is not a way we walk alone. In him I walk with you, and you with me. Our Father wills His Son be one with Him. What lives but must not then be one with you? (A Course in Miracles W-pI.Review 5.9:2-9)

Our goal is the same and, knowing that, I take my brother’s hand and walk with him, for no one goes home alone.

What joy we have in our journey of return to join with every brother in our single purpose, which is to wake up to our one Identity, joined with our Father. Today is another opportunity to listen and receive God’s peace and joy and extend it to everyone.

As I let Holy Spirit’s Light within show me the Light in everyone, I experience the blessing of remembering, “God is but Love and therefore so am I.” I see the Love. I feel the Love. I experience Its joy and Its peace. In this vision, every encounter is a holy encounter and I am blessed.

Accepting Holy Spirit’s Gifts

Your Guest has come. You asked Him, and He came. You did not hear Him enter, for you did not wholly welcome Him. And yet His gifts came with Him. He has laid them at your feet, and asks you now that you will look on them and take them for your own. He needs your help in giving them to all who walk apart, believing they are separate and alone. They will be healed when you accept your gifts, because your Guest will welcome everyone whose feet have touched the holy ground whereon you stand, and where His gifts for them are laid. (A Course in Miracles T-29.II.4)

The Holy Spirit brings me to the awareness of Love’s presence when I wholly welcome Him throughout the day. He shows me how to see with true perception. With true perception I see the Christ in every brother and know there is no gap between us. Everyone is seen as my friend when I am willing to accept Holy Spirit’s gift of true perception. I know we are not separate and alone. I receive all this today I use this day to practice accepting Holy Spirit’s gifts.

The Holy Spirit is always present but I am not aware of it when I am not at peace. The Holy Spirit is in my right mind, which I enter through the door of peace. This is why the practice of pausing for peace frequently throughout the day is essential for me to accept Holy Spirit’s gifts. It is in peace that I see with His true perception. It is peace I share the gifts that He gives. “Pause for peace” is my mantra for today.

Joining with Our Father

Steady our feet, our Father. Let our doubts be quiet and our holy minds be still, and speak to us. We have no words to give to You. We would but listen to Your Word, and make it ours. Lead our practicing as does a father lead a little child along a way he does not understand. Yet does he follow, sure that he is safe because his father leads the way for him. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.ReviewV.Intro.2)

In the world, it seems like there are myriad “threats” to my safety and happiness. This inspiring prayer reminds me that all I need to do is accept that I remain at one with my Source and all sense of vulnerability will disappear. All I need to do is to follow the gentle guidance of my Creator to remember that I am safe. And I give thanks.

Today is a day of remembering that we all are permanently joined in the Mind of Love. We are all God’s children. This important healing perspective changes the way we think about others and ourselves. No matter what appears to be occurring in the dream, everyone is still the Love of our Father and nothing else. What a beautiful practice today to remember that we are still one with the Love of our Father. Oh happy day!
